Summary

This 2025 Suzuki Jimny GLX is a standout opportunity to own the world’s most iconic compact 4x4 with the engaging tactile feedback of a manual gearbox. With only 16,253 km on the clock, this 1-year-old vehicle is barely broken in and significantly under the typical GCC annual mileage of 20,000 km. The Beige exterior is a highly practical choice for the region, resisting heat soak and maintaining strong resale appeal in the local used market. While rivals have grown larger and more complex, the Jimny remains the only authentic body-on-frame off-roader that is just as comfortable threading through Business Bay traffic as it is climbing dunes. For the GCC buyer, this represents a reliable, character-filled SUV that benefits from Suzuki's legendary mechanical durability and low running costs.

This Car vs Other 2025 Jimnys

With just 16,253 km recorded in its first year, this Jimny sits well below the 20,000–25,000 km annual average typically seen in the GCC. The manual transmission is increasingly rare and highly sought after by enthusiasts who want total control during technical desert climbs. The Beige paintwork is a smart regional choice, offering better heat reflection and easier maintenance against desert dust than darker tones.

GLX vs Lower Trims

As the top-tier GLX trim, this model adds premium features that define the modern Jimny experience, including LED projector headlamps with dedicated washers for dusty conditions and automatic climate control to handle the peak UAE summer. Inside, you get the upgraded 9-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with a leather-wrapped steering wheel and cruise control, which are absent on the base GL trim.

Jimny vs Segment Rivals

The Jimny stands alone in its segment as a true body-on-frame 4x4, offering a mechanical low-range transfer case that soft-roader rivals like the Renault Duster or Kia Seltos lack. Its ultra-short wheelbase and superior approach and departure angles allow it to traverse technical wadis and steep dunes that would ground larger SUVs. Furthermore, its compact 4.9-meter turning circle makes it the most maneuverable off-roader in tight Dubai parking structures.

Running Costs & Resale

The 1.3-litre engine is engineered for efficiency, delivering approximately 6.9 L/100km on a combined cycle, making it one of the most economical 4x4s to operate in GCC city traffic. Owners benefit from an extensive authorized service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, ensuring parts are always accessible and affordable. Historically, the Jimny maintains one of the highest resale values in the region, often retaining over 85% of its value after the first three years due to high local demand.

Performance & Capability

Built for the sands, the AllGrip Pro 4WD system provides a dedicated low-range mode that multiplies torque for navigating soft dunes and steep rocky inclines. The 210 mm ground clearance and rigid axle suspension provide exceptional wheel articulation, keeping power on the ground where independent systems often struggle. Weighing significantly less than a full-size SUV, it floats over soft sand rather than digging in, making it a favorite for weekend desert explorers.

Comfort & Cabin

The four-seat cabin is designed for durability with high-quality, easy-to-clean fabrics and intuitive controls that can be operated even while wearing gloves. The GLX-specific automatic air conditioning is remarkably powerful for the cabin size, reaching target temperatures quickly even during the hottest months. Practicality is enhanced by 50:50 split-folding rear seats, allowing for flexible cargo space for camping gear or daily groceries.

Safety

This GLX trim is equipped with essential safety systems for both highway and trail, including Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and Hill Hold Control to prevent rolling on steep Emirate mountain roads. Standard safety includes front airbags, ABS with Brake Assist, and ISOFIX mounts for child seats. The rigid ladder-frame construction provides a robust protective shell, while the high seating position offers excellent visibility in fast-moving multi-lane traffic.

The bottom line

Perfect for the urban adventurer or weekend dune-basher, this low-mileage 2025 GLX manual offers the best of Suzuki’s off-road heritage in a modern, high-spec package that holds its value better than almost anything else on the road.
