Summary

This 2025 Tesla Model 3 Performance represents the sharpest edge of the 'Highland' refresh, offering supercar-level acceleration in a practical sedan body. With 80,000 km, the mileage is slightly above the GCC annual average for a vehicle of this age, yet the electric drivetrain significantly reduces the typical maintenance concerns associated with high-mileage petrol rivals. The Grey exterior is a neutral, high-demand choice in the UAE and wider GCC, ensuring strong resale liquidity. As a Performance trim, it leads its class in raw power and software-driven track capability, making it a standout choice for those who want executive commuting comfort without sacrificing weekend thrills. For the local buyer, the combination of GCC regional specs and Tesla's extensive Supercharging network across the Emirates makes this a seamless transition to EV ownership.

This Car vs Other 2025 Model 3s

While 80,000 km is higher than the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual average for the GCC, this mileage often reflects consistent highway use between emirates, which is ideal for battery health compared to short, high-heat city bursts. The Grey finish is a resilient choice for the local climate and remains one of the top three colors for value retention in the Dubai and Abu Dhabi used markets. Being a 2025 model, it benefits from the latest acoustic glass and suspension refinements introduced in the recent major refresh.

PERFORMANCE vs Lower Trims

The Performance trim adds a dedicated 'Track Mode V3' and adaptive damping not found on the Long Range or RWD versions. Inside, you receive upgraded sports bucket seats with enhanced lateral support and cooling, alongside carbon fiber decor. On the exterior, the 20-inch forged 'Warp' wheels, larger performance brakes, and a carbon fiber rear spoiler immediately distinguish it from lower-spec models.

Model 3 vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the BMW i4 M50 or the Polestar 2 BST, the Model 3 Performance offers a superior power-to-weight ratio and a more intuitive charging ecosystem via the Supercharger network. It leads the segment in software integration and cabin storage, featuring a large front trunk (frunk) that many traditional luxury brand EVs lack. The Tesla's dedicated EV platform also provides significantly more rear legroom than converted petrol-platform competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Running costs are exceptionally low for a 500+ hp car, with real-world energy consumption averaging roughly 18 kWh/100km in GCC conditions. Maintenance is minimal, typically involving cabin filter changes and tire rotations every 20,000 km at authorized Tesla centers in Dubai or Abu Dhabi. While European luxury EVs can see sharp depreciation, the Model 3 Performance maintains one of the highest residual values in the GCC electric segment due to high demand and frequent over-the-air software updates.

Performance & Capability

With a verified 0–100 km/h time of 3.1 seconds and a top speed of 262 km/h, this sedan out-accelerates most modern sports cars on the E11 highway. The dual-motor All-Wheel Drive system provides instantaneous torque vectoring, ensuring maximum grip during high-temperature summer starts. The lowered, sport-tuned chassis delivers precise handling that feels right at home on technical roads like Jebel Jais.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin features a premium 17-speaker audio system and dual wireless charging pads as standard. For the GCC summer, the heavily tinted panoramic roof and highly efficient air conditioning—controllable via the Tesla app—ensure the interior is pre-cooled before you enter. The 'Highland' refresh specifically improved rear-seat comfort with an additional 8-inch touchscreen for climate and entertainment control.

Safety

This trim includes the full suite of active safety features, including collision avoidance, emergency braking, and blind-spot cameras that appear on the central 15.4-inch display. The Model 3 consistently achieves 5-star safety ratings globally, aided by a low center of gravity that reduces rollover risk. Adaptive cruise control and Lane Keep Assist make long desert highway hauls significantly less fatiguing for the driver.

The bottom line

For the enthusiast who needs a daily driver, this Model 3 Performance offers unmatched speed and technology with the peace of mind of a GCC-spec vehicle and a robust local service network.
