Summary

This 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser VXR represents the first year of the all-new 250-series generation, offering a perfect balance of heritage-inspired design and modern turbo performance. With 39,000 km, this vehicle has been driven slightly more than the GCC annual average, yet it remains a premier choice given Toyota's legendary durability and the high demand for white-colored SUVs in the region. The VXR trim provides a significant jump in luxury over base models, featuring a refined interior and advanced tech suitable for both executive commuting and family road trips. In a market that prizes reliability, this GCC-spec example stands as one of the safest investments for long-term value retention. It is ideally suited for UAE owners who require a vehicle that can transition seamlessly from high-speed highway cruising between Emirates to weekend adventures in the desert.

This Car vs Other 2025 Land Cruisers

At 39,000 km, this vehicle's mileage is slightly above the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual average for the GCC, reflecting its capability as a long-distance highway cruiser. However, its white exterior is the most sought-after color in the UAE and Saudi markets, ensuring the highest possible liquidity and resale strength. Being a 2025 model, it benefits from the latest TNGA-F platform updates, offering superior ride quality compared to earlier generations.

VXR vs Lower Trims

The VXR trim is a substantial upgrade over the TXR and GXR, adding premium features highly valued in the Gulf climate such as a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14-speaker JBL audio system. It also includes a refrigerated center console (cool box) for summer drives and powered third-row seating for easier family logistics. Additionally, the VXR typically features enhanced ADAS safety systems and a 360-degree camera as standard, which are often optional on mid-range trims.

Land Cruiser vs Segment Rivals

Against rivals like the Nissan Patrol and Land Rover Defender, this 250-series Land Cruiser leads with a massive 110-litre fuel tank, providing superior range for long-distance desert crossings. While competitors may offer more cylinders, the Toyota's 2.4L turbo engine is designed for thermal efficiency in extreme heat, backed by the region's most comprehensive spare parts and service network. Its body-on-frame construction ensures it retains structural integrity better than monocoque rivals during frequent off-road use.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 2.4L turbo petrol engine is approximately 10.6 km/L, offering a more efficient alternative to older V6 and V8 platforms in GCC stop-start traffic. Toyota continues to dominate the UAE resale market, with the Land Cruiser family typically retaining 70-75% of its value after five years. Service intervals are standard for the region, and the extensive network of authorized centers ensures parts availability is never an issue, even in remote areas of the GCC.

Performance & Capability

The 267 hp turbocharged engine delivers 430 Nm of torque at low RPM, which is essential for low-speed sand crawling and effortless highway overtaking. The full-time 4WD system includes a low-range transfer case and a locking center differential, allowing it to handle technical terrain that stops most crossovers. With an official 700 mm wading depth and 220 mm of ground clearance, it is purpose-built to survive the UAE’s occasional heavy rains and rugged wadi tracks.

Comfort & Cabin

The seven-seat cabin is designed for the Gulf's extreme temperatures, featuring a high-output tri-zone climate control system with dedicated rear vents to ensure every passenger stays cool. Front occupants benefit from ventilated seats, while the cabin's insulation has been significantly improved in this generation to reduce wind noise during high-speed desert highway runs. The 12.3-inch infotainment screen supports wireless smartphone integration, keeping you connected across borders.

Safety

This VXR trim comes equipped with a comprehensive suite of active safety technologies, including adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist, which are indispensable for long drives between cities like Dubai and Riyadh. The vehicle features a full array of airbags and advanced stability control systems specifically tuned for both asphalt and gravel surfaces. Blind-spot monitoring and a 360-degree camera provide essential visibility when navigating busy multi-lane urban highways.

The bottom line

This 2025 VXR is a perfect opportunity for a family or executive buyer looking for the latest Toyota technology with the region's best resale security. It offers the refined luxury of a top-tier trim while maintaining the rugged off-road hardware that has made the Land Cruiser an icon in the GCC.
