Summary

This 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser EXR is a definitive buy for those seeking the bulletproof reliability of the 4.0L V6 powertrain, which remains highly prized in the GCC for its mechanical simplicity and long-term durability. With mileage that reflects typical highway-heavy use for its age, this white example sits in the strongest possible color category for resale value across the Emirates. The EXR trim serves as the ideal gateway to the 300-series platform, providing all the essential off-road hardware required for desert weekends without the complexity of higher-tier electronics. As the region’s most liquid automotive asset, this Land Cruiser offers unparalleled peace of mind and remains the gold standard for navigating both fast-moving highways and remote desert terrain.

This Car vs Other 2025 Land Cruisers

With 48,000 km, this vehicle's mileage is average for a GCC-based Land Cruiser, where annual driving often exceeds 25,000 km due to inter-emirate highway commutes. Its white exterior is the highest-demand color in the local market, ensuring it stays at the top of the priority list for future buyers. Unlike imported regional specs, this GCC-spec model is fully optimized with reinforced cooling and suspension systems built for the heat.

EXR vs Lower Trims

The EXR trim provides the essential 300-series experience, featuring a 12.3-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto that is absent on base commercial grades. It balances utility and modern tech with tri-zone climate control and a leather-wrapped steering wheel, ensuring long-distance comfort while maintaining the rugged off-road bumpers preferred by desert enthusiasts.

Land Cruiser vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Nissan Patrol, the Land Cruiser leads in overall value retention and ease of maintenance due to the simplified nature of the 1GR-FE V6 engine. Its 110-litre dual-tank configuration provides a significant range advantage over smaller crossovers for cross-border drives to Oman or Saudi Arabia. The body-on-frame construction offers a level of torsional rigidity that car-based rivals like the Ford Explorer cannot match in genuine off-road environments.

Running Costs & Resale

Toyota vehicles recorded a class-leading 65% value retention after three years in recent UAE market data, making this a safe financial harbor. The naturally aspirated 4.0L V6 is exceptionally affordable to maintain, with authorized service centers located in every major city across the GCC. Real-world fuel consumption for this powertrain averages around 12 to 14 L/100km in mixed GCC driving conditions.

Performance & Capability

The 271 hp V6 engine provides linear, predictable power that is well-suited for high-temperature desert climbing where turbochargers can be prone to heat soak. A dedicated low-range transfer case and 235 mm of ground clearance allow it to tackle soft dunes and rocky wadis with confidence. The 6-speed automatic transmission is engineered for durability, ensuring smooth shifts even during heavy-duty towing or steep off-road descents.

Comfort & Cabin

The seven-seat layout is configured for maximum family utility, with a high-capacity air conditioning system specifically tuned to drop cabin temperatures rapidly even in 45°C+ heat. Rear passengers benefit from dedicated cooling vents and a tri-zone system that allows for individual comfort settings. Cabin insulation is a step forward for the 300-series, effectively muting road noise during long stretches on the E11 or E311 highways.

Safety

Standard safety features on this trim include a comprehensive seven-airbag system, featuring a driver’s knee airbag for enhanced frontal protection. The EXR is equipped with Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and Traction Control (TRC), which are vital for maintaining composure on shifting sand and gravel surfaces. A high-resolution rearview camera and parking sensors assist in navigating the vehicle's large footprint in tight urban spaces.

The bottom line

For the GCC buyer who values mechanical longevity and market-leading resale over high-tech complexity, this V6-powered Land Cruiser is the most rational choice available today.
