Summary

This 2025 Zeekr 7X (listed as 9X) Ultra arrives with delivery mileage, representing a massive jump in electric performance for the GCC market. With a dual-motor setup delivering 646 hp, it effortlessly balances supercar acceleration with the practicality of a mid-size SUV. The black exterior is a premier choice for local resale, maintaining high demand across the UAE and wider region. In a market where charging infrastructure is rapidly expanding, its 800V architecture provides industry-leading turnaround times at fast-charging stations. For the tech-forward buyer, this Ultra trim offers a level of cabin refinement and silicon-level performance that challenges established European luxury marques.

This Car vs Other 2025 Zeekr 9Xs

With just 50 km on the odometer, this Zeekr is essentially a brand-new vehicle, offering a significant advantage over other 2025 models that have already begun their service life. The Onyx Black finish is the most sought-after color in the GCC used market, ensuring faster liquidly and higher value retention than more niche shades. Being the Performance-focused Ultra variant, it offers a mechanical and technology ceiling that standard 2025 units cannot match.

ULTRA vs Lower Trims

The Ultra trim (often referred to as the Performance AWD) upgrades from a single-motor to a dual-motor configuration, nearly doubling the horsepower of lower trims for relentless highway overtaking. It adds the 100 kWh Qilin battery as standard, alongside 800V high-speed charging capabilities that are optional or unavailable on base models. Interior enhancements include Nappa full-grain leather and a Zeekr Sound Pro system, features that are vital for maintaining luxury standards in the competitive GCC market.

Zeekr 9X vs Segment Rivals

The Zeekr 7X (9X) directly competes with the Tesla Model Y and Xpeng G6, leading the segment in charging speed with its 460 kW peak capacity. While rivals often prioritize minimalism, the Zeekr offers a more traditional luxury cabin with superior sound insulation, which is a key differentiator during high-speed desert highway drives. Its 765-litre boot capacity also outperforms many European electric crossovers, making it a more viable primary family vehicle.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world efficiency is excellent for its class, though high-speed highway driving between Emirates will naturally impact the CLTC range more than city commuting. As a Chinese-spec vehicle in the UAE, owners benefit from a growing network of specialized independent workshops and the brand's official regional presence, though warranty status should be verified relative to local agency support. While early depreciation for new-to-market electric brands is higher than Japanese petrol rivals, the Ultra trim's high performance and 800V tech help insulate it against rapid technological obsolescence.

Performance & Capability

The dual-motor powertrain produces 646 hp and 710 Nm of torque, enabling a 0–100 km/h sprint of just 3.8 seconds. This performance is supported by an active air suspension system that can adjust ground clearance by up to 70mm, providing flexibility for varied road surfaces across the GCC. Multiple drive modes allow for efficient cruising or maximum output, ensuring the vehicle feels composed whether navigating tight urban traffic in Riyadh or cruising at speed toward Abu Dhabi.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is centered around a 16-inch 3.5K Mini-LED display and features ventilated Nappa leather seats that are essential for the extreme GCC summer heat. Rear passengers enjoy class-leading legroom and doors that open to 90 degrees, facilitating easy access for families. Triple-zone climate control with dedicated rear vents ensures all occupants remain comfortable, while the acoustic glass helps maintain a quiet environment even on coarse highway surfaces.

Safety

This Ultra trim comes equipped with a comprehensive ADAS suite powered by high-computing chips, including 360-degree high-definition cameras and blind-spot monitoring which are critical for multi-lane highway safety. The SEA architecture provides a high-strength cage design, and the vehicle includes a full array of airbags as standard. Standard stability control and intelligent traction management provide added security on sand-dusted roads or during rare heavy rainfall events.

The bottom line

This 2025 Ultra trim is the definitive choice for an EV buyer who refuses to choose between supercar-level acceleration and a premium, family-sized interior.
