Summary

This 2026 Avatr 07 Ultra represents a major leap in the premium REEV segment, offering a sophisticated blend of Huawei intelligence and CATL battery tech. As a new vehicle, it bypasses the typical high-mileage concerns of the GCC market while providing a range-extended powertrain that eliminates the 'charging anxiety' often associated with cross-border GCC road trips. The Grey exterior is a highly resilient and professional choice for the region, ensuring strong resale interest across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. This specific trim stands out for its high-end cabin materials and advanced ADAS suite, making it a direct and often superior alternative to established luxury crossovers. For the local buyer, the primary advantage is the massive combined range, allowing for a full week of urban commuting on pure electric power followed by a long-distance weekend drive without a single charging stop.

This Car vs Other 2026 Avatr 07s

With zero years of age and effectively no road wear, this vehicle sits at the top of the used market value chain. In a region where the average car covers 20,000 km annually, starting with a fresh 2026 model provides a significant buffer for future resale value. The Grey finish is one of the most practical choices for the GCC, resisting the visible effects of fine desert dust better than darker shades while maintaining a premium executive presence.

ULTRA vs Lower Trims

The Ultra trim is a comprehensive upgrade over the Pro and Max levels, most notably standardizing the 25-speaker Huawei Sound system and the dual zero-gravity front seats with 16-way adjustment. It also adds a rear-seat multi-function touchscreen and ventilated rear seats, which are essential for passenger comfort during the intense GCC summer. Furthermore, the Ultra includes the full 192-line LiDAR-based Huawei ADS 3.0 suite as standard, offering superior autonomous capabilities on the fast-moving multi-lane highways of the UAE.

07 vs Segment Rivals

The Avatr 07 competes directly with the Li Auto L6 and the Tesla Model Y, leading the pack with its 1.5-liter range extender that offers a total CLTC range of 1,152 km. Unlike the pure-electric Model Y, the 07 allows for seamless travel between cities like Dubai and Riyadh without the need for high-speed charging stops. Its interior also feels a generation ahead, utilizing more premium soft-touch materials and a massive 35.4-inch 4K panoramic display that dwarfs the minimalist setups of its rivals.

Running Costs & Resale

As a range-extended electric vehicle (REEV), the 07 offers a massive reduction in city running costs, operating as a pure EV for the majority of urban trips. The 1.5L range extender is designed for efficiency and only requires standard maintenance intervals common for small-displacement engines. Avatr has established authorized service presence in major hubs like Dubai and Abu Dhabi, with a growing network across the GCC. While the brand is newer to the market, its association with Changan and Huawei provides a baseline of parts availability and technical support that underpins its resale stability.

Performance & Capability

The 231 kW rear motor provides a smooth 0-100 km/h sprint in 6.6 seconds, offering instant torque that is perfect for merging onto the E11 or E311 highways. The Kunlun range-extending system is specifically tuned to manage heat efficiently, ensuring the battery remains at optimal temperatures even during high-speed summer drives. With multiple drive modes, the 07 maintains a composed ride that prioritizes luxury over raw aggression, though it still provides ample power for quick overtaking at highway speeds.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary from the GCC heat, featuring a high-capacity dual-zone climate control system and ventilated seats for both front and rear passengers. The dual zero-gravity seats can recline to a fully relaxed position during breaks, and the 2.1-square-meter panoramic roof is equipped with an electric sunshade to keep the interior cool. Acoustic double-layer glass ensures the cabin remains incredibly quiet, shielding passengers from road noise and the busy traffic typical of cities like Riyadh and Dubai.

Safety

Safety is managed by the Huawei ADS 3.0 platform, which utilizes a roof-mounted LiDAR and high-definition cameras to provide a 360-degree safety shield. Standard features on the Ultra trim include automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring with high-res digital side mirrors, and lane-centering assist—all of which are invaluable for the high-speed, high-density traffic found on GCC motorways. The vehicle also features a comprehensive airbag system and a reinforced battery cage designed by CATL for maximum impact protection.

The bottom line

This 2026 Avatr 07 Ultra is the ideal choice for a tech-forward UAE professional who wants the luxury and efficiency of an EV without the limitations of a charging-only lifestyle. It offers the highest available specification in a resale-friendly color, making it one of the smartest premium SUV opportunities in the current market.
