Summary

This 2026 Avatr 12 Performance offers a rare opportunity to own a cutting-edge electric gran coupe that balances supercar-level acceleration with executive comfort. As a zero-year-old vehicle, it represents the absolute latest in EV technology, featuring a high-output dual-motor system and a massive 94.5 kWh battery pack. The black exterior is a perennial favorite in the GCC, ensuring strong resale demand and excellent heat management when paired with the car's advanced cabin pre-cooling. Standing out from traditional luxury sedans, the Avatr 12 replaces the rear window with a high-definition camera system and a sleek aerodynamic profile that turns heads across the Emirates. For the tech-forward buyer, this Chinese-spec model provides the most advanced version of Huawei’s HarmonyOS and ADS driver assistance currently available.

This Car vs Other 2026 Avatr 12s

With a vehicle age of 0 years, this Avatr 12 is in showroom condition and effectively brand new for the GCC market. While many listings may feature the single-motor variant, this Performance trim offers the full 580 hp output, which is highly sought after for highway stability and overtaking power on fast-moving routes like the E11. The black finish is a top-tier resale color in the UAE, consistently holding more value than experimental shades.

PERFORMANCE vs Lower Trims

Choosing the Performance trim over the standard Luxury or Max variants upgrades you to a dual-motor All Wheel Drive system, nearly doubling the available horsepower for significantly sharper launches. It also adds standard Zero Gravity front seats with dedicated leg rests and a superior 27-speaker audio system that transforms the cabin experience. Furthermore, the Performance trim includes the 35.4-inch 4K panoramic remote screen as standard, a feature that often carries a premium on lower models.

Avatr 12 vs Segment Rivals

The Avatr 12 leads rivals like the Zeekr 001 and Nio ET7 with its radical 'windowless' rear design and Huawei-developed ADS 2.0 sensor suite, featuring three LiDAR units for superior spatial awareness. Its 3,020 mm wheelbase provides significantly more rear legroom than the Porsche Taycan, making it a more viable choice for family or executive use. The 800V high-voltage architecture allows for faster sustained DC charging speeds than many European competitors in the same luxury bracket.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world efficiency is impressive for a car of this size, averaging approximately 14.5 kWh/100km in mixed GCC driving. Maintenance is simplified due to the electric powertrain, requiring only basic inspections and cabin filter changes at authorized service centers appearing across major UAE cities. As a Chinese-spec vehicle, buyers should note that local charging will require a standard GB/T to Type 2 adapter for UAE public stations. Resale value for top-tier Chinese EVs is stabilizing well in the GCC, particularly for high-spec trims like the Performance.

Performance & Capability

A verified 0–100 km/h time of 3.9 seconds places this sedan in the territory of dedicated sports cars, providing effortless power for long-distance cruising between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The All Wheel Drive system manages the 650 Nm of torque perfectly, ensuring maximum grip on both rain-slicked city streets and sand-dusted desert highways. Three distinct driving modes allow you to prioritize either maximum efficiency for the daily commute or full power for open-road driving.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary of tech, featuring Nappa leather and sustainable wood trim that holds up well under the intense GCC sun. Both front Zero Gravity seats are ventilated and offer a multi-point massage function, essential for staying refreshed during summer drives. The lack of a traditional rear window is compensated for by a crystal-clear digital rearview mirror and a massive 35.4-inch display that spans the entire dashboard, keeping all essential data at eye level.

Safety

Safety is anchored by the Huawei ADS 2.0 system, which utilizes 34 sensors including triple LiDAR to provide 360-degree coverage. Standard features include advanced Emergency Lane Keeping, Blind Spot Monitoring for multi-lane highways, and a robust collision avoidance system that has been highly rated in recent industry testing. The vehicle is also equipped with nine airbags, providing comprehensive passive protection for all five occupants.

The bottom line

This 2026 Avatr 12 Performance is the ideal choice for an early adopter looking for the fastest, most technologically advanced electric sedan on the market today. It offers a unique combination of supercar speed and futuristic luxury that simply cannot be matched by traditional European rivals at this price point.
