Summary

This 2026 Avatr 12 Performance represents the cutting edge of the premium REEV segment, offering a sophisticated alternative to traditional luxury sedans. With zero mileage on the clock and a sleek black exterior—a color known for its strong resale value in the UAE—this listing is a prime opportunity for those looking to skip the wait for a new import. The Range-Extended Electric Vehicle (REEV) powertrain is perfectly suited for the GCC, combining the quiet efficiency of an electric drive with a 1.5L range extender that eliminates range anxiety on long drives between Emirates. This Performance trim brings a high-tech cabin environment dominated by Huawei's HarmonyOS, providing a level of connectivity and luxury that rivals the established German marques. For a buyer seeking a futuristic design that stands out in Dubai or Abu Dhabi traffic, this Chinese-spec sedan delivers exceptional value and a unique road presence.

This Car vs Other 2026 Avatr 12s

With zero kilometers, this vehicle is essentially brand new and represents the earliest availability of the 2026 model year in the local market. Compared to typical high-mileage executive cars in the GCC, this car offers a fresh start with all components in factory condition. The black-on-purple color combination is a highly desirable spec that typically holds its value better than more niche colors in the UAE used market.

PERFORMANCE vs Lower Trims

The Performance trim upgrades the ownership experience with high-end features that GCC buyers value, including standard ventilated and massaging front seats to combat the summer heat. It typically includes the upgraded 25-speaker sound system and the full Huawei ADS 3.0 hardware suite, including multiple LiDAR sensors for advanced driver assistance. Unlike base models, this trim focuses on a total luxury experience, adding premium Nappa leather and zero-gravity seating functionality.

12 vs Segment Rivals

The Avatr 12 competes directly with the Zeekr 001 and the Lucid Air, standing out with its unique range-extender technology that provides a 1,155 km total range—ideal for cross-border trips where charging infrastructure may be sparse. Its cabin features a massive 35.4-inch 4K panoramic screen that provides more screen real estate and integrated tech than most European rivals. The 3,020mm wheelbase ensures rear legroom that rivals long-wheelbase executive sedans, a key factor for family and business use in the region.

Running Costs & Resale

The 1.5L range-extender is designed to run efficiently even in stop-start traffic, and the 52 kWh battery allows for significant daily commuting on pure electric power. As a Chinese-spec vehicle, it is important to note that while service centers in major hubs like Dubai and Riyadh are expanding, parts are primarily sourced through specialized importers. Resale value for Avatr has shown a steady trajectory in the UAE, benefiting from the brand's association with technology giants like Huawei and CATL, though it generally sees higher initial depreciation compared to Japanese legacy brands.

Performance & Capability

The Performance AWD system delivers a 0–100 km/h sprint in 6.7 seconds, providing plenty of punch for highway merging and overtaking on the E11. The 1.5L turbocharged engine acts solely as a generator, meaning you get the instant torque of an electric motor at all times without needing to plug in every night. With multiple driving modes, including a Sport setting that sharpens throttle response, the car handles the high-speed demands of GCC roads with composed stability.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary from the GCC climate, featuring powerful multi-zone air conditioning and ventilated seats that are essential for the region's 45°C+ summers. The frameless doors and acoustic glass provide exceptional insulation from road and wind noise during long highway drives. The interior is finished in high-quality materials, and the absence of a traditional rear window is compensated for by high-definition digital rearview mirrors that provide a clear view even in dusty or low-light conditions.

Safety

Safety is a primary focus, with the Avatr 12 coming standard with a comprehensive ADAS suite powered by Huawei's Qiankun system, which utilizes 3 LiDARs and 12 ultrasonic radars. This provides top-tier blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and autonomous emergency braking, which are invaluable for navigating the fast-paced multi-lane highways of the UAE. The vehicle is also equipped with nine airbags and a high-strength body structure to ensure maximum protection for all five occupants.

The bottom line

For the tech-forward driver in the GCC, this 2026 Avatr 12 Performance offers a unique blend of massive range, futuristic design, and a brand-new status that makes it one of the most compelling luxury EV alternatives available right now.
