Summary

This 2026 BMW M2 Competition Sport (CS) represents the absolute peak of the G87 generation, offering a visceral 50 hp boost over the standard M2. With just 752 km on the odometer, this virtually new example provides a rare opportunity to own a limited-production track weapon without the waitlist. The Brooklyn Grey metallic finish is a highly sought-after shade in the GCC, ensuring strong resale demand alongside its exclusive CS-specific carbon fiber enhancements. Engineered for purists who demand M4-level power in a more agile, compact footprint, this RWD coupe is perfectly suited for both weekend track sessions at the Dubai Autodrome and spirited highway drives across the Emirates.

This Car vs Other 2026 M2s

With only 752 km, this M2 CS is in a mileage bracket far below the typical 20,000 km annual average seen in the GCC, effectively offering a new-car mechanical state. The Competition Sport trim is a limited-run flagship, making it significantly more collectible and slower to depreciate than the standard 2026 M2 models found on the market. Its Grey exterior is a top-tier choice for regional resale, balancing heat reflection with a modern, aggressive aesthetic that local buyers prefer.

COMPETITION SPORT vs Lower Trims

The CS trim transforms the M2 by stripping 30 kg of weight through an extensive carbon fiber diet, including a CFRP roof, hood, and integrated ducktail spoiler not found on the base model. Performance is sharpened with a 523 hp engine map—matching the M4 Competition—and a recalibrated Adaptive M suspension specifically tuned for high-speed stability. Inside, you receive exclusive M Carbon bucket seats and the M-specific Alcantara steering wheel, features that command a significant premium in the used market.

M2 vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 and the Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 S, the M2 CS stands out with its classic front-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout and the legendary S58 inline-six engine. Its cooling system is notably robust, designed to handle the high-rev demands of GCC summer track days where four-cylinder rivals often struggle with heat soak. Furthermore, the M2 CS offers a genuinely usable 14-cubic-foot boot and a 2+2 seating arrangement, providing a level of practicality the Cayman cannot match.

Running Costs & Resale

The M2 CS returns a combined fuel consumption of approximately 10.0 L/100km (WLTP), though spirited city driving in Riyadh or Dubai traffic will see this figure rise. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it benefits from a comprehensive authorized service network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, ensuring parts availability and warranty support that imported models lack. Historical data for CS-badged BMWs shows exceptional value retention, often outperforming the standard M models by 10-15% over a three-year ownership period.

Performance & Capability

The headline figure is the 3.8-second 0–100 km/h sprint, enabled by 650 Nm of torque and a lightning-fast 8-speed M Steptronic transmission. With a raised top speed of 302 km/h courtesy of the standard M Driver’s Package, this coupe is built for the long, open highways of the GCC. The inclusion of 10-stage M Traction Control and the M Drift Analyser allows drivers to precisely tailor the car's behavior to the varying grip levels of regional tarmac and track surfaces.

Comfort & Cabin

Despite its track-focused nature, the cabin remains a luxury space featuring BMW's Curved Display with Operating System 8.5 and M-specific graphics. The GCC-spec cooling system is highly efficient, maintaining cabin comfort even when external temperatures exceed 45°C. Merino leather upholstery and a premium Harman Kardon audio system ensure that long-distance drives between Emirates remain refined, while the carbon bucket seats provide immense support without sacrificing ergonomics.

Safety

Safety is managed by a full suite of M-specific systems, including M Compound brakes with 6-piston front calipers for immense stopping power. Standard ADAS features include Forward Collision Mitigation, Lane Departure Warning, and Active Cruise Control, which are vital for navigating fast-moving highway traffic. The specialized M Dynamic Mode (MDM) allows for a higher threshold of wheel slip while maintaining a safety net, ideal for exploring the car's limits in a controlled environment.

The bottom line

This is the ultimate expression of the modern BMW M car, perfectly suited for a GCC enthusiast seeking a rare, high-performance collectible that is as capable on the street as it is on the track.
