Summary

This 2026 Changan X5 Plus Beyond Pro offers a high-performance alternative to traditional compact SUVs, featuring the advanced Blue Whale 1.5T engine that delivers a class-leading 192 horsepower. As the Beyond Pro trim, it introduces high-tier technology like the triple-screen digital cockpit and a unique transparent chassis view, providing a premium experience that rivals European competitors. The Grey exterior is a highly sought-after, neutral choice in the GCC, ensuring stronger resale potential and excellent heat reflection during the summer months. For buyers in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, this model stands out for its blend of aggressive 'shark-nose' styling and a sophisticated multi-link rear suspension that provides superior comfort on both city highways and uneven terrain. This listing represents a zero-mileage opportunity to own one of the most technologically dense crossovers currently available in the regional market.

This Car vs Other 2026 X5 Pluses

As a brand-new 2026 model, this X5 Plus avoids the typical high-mileage wear often seen in the GCC's highway-heavy driving environment. While average annual use in the region hits 25,000 km, this zero-mileage unit offers a full lifecycle advantage and the most current software updates for the triple-screen interface. The Grey metallic finish is particularly advantageous for the local market, as it maintains its aesthetic appeal better than darker shades under the intense Gulf sun and remains a top-tier choice for resale.

BEYOND PRO vs Lower Trims

The Beyond Pro trim is a significant jump from the Pioneer and Surpass variants, adding the essential 540-degree camera system which includes a 'transparent chassis' view for easier parking in tight urban spaces. Inside, it upgrades to a 30-inch triple-display setup and high-contrast sports seating with suede inserts that stay cooler in summer than standard leatherette. Most importantly for GCC buyers, this trim adds dedicated rear AC vents and an upgraded PM2.5 air filtration system to keep the cabin dust-free.

X5 Plus vs Segment Rivals

The X5 Plus leads rivals like the Geely Coolray and GAC GS3 Emzoom in raw power, utilizing a more potent 192 hp engine compared to the Coolray's 172 hp. It also offers a more sophisticated multi-link rear suspension, whereas many competitors in this price bracket use a simpler torsion beam, resulting in a smoother ride over Dubai’s speed bumps and Riyadh’s undulating roads. The 2715mm wheelbase provides superior rear legroom, making it a more viable family crossover than its more compact segment peers.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption is highly competitive for the power output, averaging approximately 6.95 L/100km (WLTC), though GCC stop-start traffic may see this closer to 8.0 L/100km. Changan has established a massive service footprint across the GCC, with flagship facilities in Riyadh and extensive networks in the UAE through authorized partners, ensuring parts availability. While Chinese brands typically see 45-50% depreciation over three years, the X5 Plus's high feature density and the brand's 70% trust rating in the region are helping to firm up residual values compared to older generations.

Performance & Capability

The standout figure is the 7.51-second 0-100 km/h sprint, which makes the X5 Plus one of the quickest front-wheel-drive crossovers in its class for highway overtaking. The 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission is specifically engineered to handle the high thermal stress of the Middle Eastern climate, shifting smoothly even in 45-degree heat. With 310 Nm of torque available from low RPMs, the car feels responsive and agile during inter-emirate commutes, maintaining a stable top speed of 205 km/h where permitted.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a tech-focused environment dominated by the 30-inch tri-screen digital dashboard that angles toward the driver for better visibility in bright daylight. Dual-zone automatic climate control is paired with powerful cooling vents designed for the GCC summer, ensuring the 5-seat interior reaches comfortable temperatures rapidly. The 584-litre boot is generous for the segment, expanding to 1318 litres to accommodate family road trips or large shopping loads easily.

Safety

The Beyond Pro comes equipped with a comprehensive Level 2 ADAS suite, including autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning, and a fatigue driving reminder that is invaluable for long desert highway stretches. The 540-degree camera provides a bird's-eye view plus a view underneath the car, helping to avoid high curbs and hazards. Passive safety is reinforced by a high-strength steel frame and a full array of front and side curtain airbags as standard.

The bottom line

This 2026 Changan X5 Plus Beyond Pro is the ideal choice for the tech-savvy professional who wants high-end performance and a digital-first cabin without the premium price tag of European brands. With zero mileage and a high-demand color, it represents one of the strongest value propositions in the current GCC compact SUV market.
