Summary

This 2026 Ford Territory Trend offers a perfect balance of modern tech and turbocharged performance for GCC roads. With its 1.8-litre EcoBoost engine and responsive 7-speed automatic transmission, it stands out for its smooth highway manners and competitive fuel efficiency. The Blue exterior is a stylish choice that holds its appeal well in the regional used market, while the Trend trim provides essential family features without the premium price of the Titanium. For a GCC buyer, this model represents one of the most spacious and tech-forward crossovers in its segment, backed by a strong authorized service presence across the Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

This Car vs Other 2026 Territorys

As a 2026 model, this Territory represents the most current iteration of Ford's popular crossover, benefiting from the latest software updates for its infotainment system. Its mileage is consistent with a vehicle that has likely spent its time on well-maintained UAE highways rather than dense inner-city traffic. The Blue exterior provides a refreshing alternative to the common white and silver variants while remaining a respectable choice for future resale value.

TREND vs Lower Trims

The Trend trim is a significant step up from the base Ambiente, adding key features that GCC buyers value for daily comfort. It introduces dual-zone automatic climate control to handle extreme summer heat more effectively and upgrades the cabin with a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen. You also gain a leather-wrapped steering wheel and rear parking sensors, making it a more refined and practical choice for urban commuting.

Territory vs Segment Rivals

The Territory competes directly with the Hyundai Tucson and Kia Sportage, but leads with one of the most generous rear-legroom figures in the compact SUV class. Its 1.8-litre turbocharged engine offers more standard torque than the entry-level naturally aspirated powerplants found in many rivals, providing easier overtaking on fast-moving GCC highways. The inclusion of a 12.3-inch digital interface as standard on the Trend trim often outspecs the base tech found in its competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

The 1.8L EcoBoost engine is designed for efficiency, delivering a manufacturer-claimed 15.6 km/L, which translates well to long-distance drives between emirates. Maintenance is straightforward with service intervals typically every 10,000 km at authorized centers like Al Tayer or Mohamed Yousuf Naghi. The Territory has shown strong value retention in the GCC market, typically depreciating at a rate comparable to its Japanese rivals, making it a safe financial bet in the mid-size SUV segment.

Performance & Capability

The 190 hp turbocharged engine delivers a punchy 320 Nm of torque, allowing the Territory to merge onto 140 km/h highways with confidence. Its front-wheel-drive setup is optimized for road efficiency and comfort, supported by a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission that provides nearly seamless shifts. With 190 mm of ground clearance, it easily handles high curbs and uneven gravel tracks often encountered during weekend family outings.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the Territory Trend features a spacious five-seat layout with dual-zone climate control and dedicated rear vents to ensure all passengers remain cool during the summer. The cabin is dominated by a sleek digital dashboard and high-quality vinyl-trimmed seats that are durable and easy to clean. Acoustic glass and improved insulation help keep road noise at a minimum, creating a serene environment for long cross-border drives.

Safety

The 2026 Territory Trend comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including six airbags and electronic stability control as standard. Essential ADAS features such as a blind-spot monitoring system and rear-view camera are included to assist in heavy highway traffic and tight parking scenarios. It also features ISOFIX child seat anchors and a tire pressure monitoring system, ensuring peace of mind for family-oriented owners.

The bottom line

For the GCC buyer seeking a modern, high-tech crossover that doesn't compromise on cabin space or turbo performance, this 2026 Territory Trend is an exceptional opportunity to own a near-new vehicle with full regional support.
