Summary

This 2026 Staria Luxury represents the absolute top-tier of Hyundai's futuristic van lineup, offering a massive 9-seat configuration that is perfect for large families or executive transport. Being a brand-new model year with GCC specifications, it provides immediate peace of mind for buyers across the Emirates and Saudi Arabia who need reliable cooling and a strong service network. The White exterior is widely regarded as the best resale color in the region, effectively managing the desert heat while retaining its market value. Compared to more utilitarian rivals, this Luxury trim transforms the passenger experience with high-end materials and advanced tech normally reserved for premium sedans. It is an ideal pick for those who want to combine massive interior volume with a cutting-edge aesthetic that stands out in GCC traffic.

This Car vs Other 2026 Starias

As a brand-new 2026 model with zero mileage, this Staria sits at the very beginning of its life cycle, offering the full benefit of a complete manufacturer warranty and pristine mechanical condition. While many Starias in the GCC market are used heavily for high-mileage transport, this example provides a fresh start with the latest tech refinements. The White exterior is a strategic choice for the Middle East, as it is the most sought-after color for resale and heat reflection.

LUXURY vs Lower Trims

The Luxury trim significantly upgrades the cabin over the Comfort and Premium variants, introducing Nappa leather upholstery and the highly coveted 180-degree swiveling second-row chairs. It also adds premium features that GCC buyers value most, including a 360-degree surround-view camera, ventilated seating for the front and second rows, and a dual panoramic sunroof. Unlike base trims, this version features full LED 'pixel' lighting and 18-inch alloy wheels that complete its futuristic look.

Staria vs Segment Rivals

The Staria competes directly with the Kia Carnival and Toyota Granvia, leading the segment with its unique 'spaceship' design and superior glass area for better visibility. Its 3.5L V6 provides smooth, linear power that feels more refined than the 4-cylinder engines found in many entry-level MPVs. While rivals focus on traditional van styling, the Staria offers a flat-floor architecture that provides more genuine legroom across all three rows.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 3.5L V6 averages around 10.5 L/100km on combined cycles, though city driving in stop-start GCC traffic may see higher figures. Maintenance is straightforward with Hyundai's massive authorized service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, typically requiring service every 10,000 km. The Staria has shown strong value retention in the regional used market, particularly in high-spec 9-seater configurations which are always in demand for family and hospitality use.

Performance & Capability

The 272 hp V6 engine is paired with a smooth 8-speed automatic transmission, allowing for effortless highway overtaking even when fully loaded with nine passengers. It reaches 0-100 km/h in approximately 8.9 seconds, which is impressive for a vehicle of this size and weight. The front-wheel-drive setup is tuned for on-road comfort, making long cross-country drives between emirates feel stable and composed.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed to handle the extreme GCC summer, featuring a high-output multi-zone climate control system with dedicated roof-mounted vents for all rear passengers. The 9-seat layout includes versatile swiveling independent seats in the second row, creating a lounge-like atmosphere for meetings or family interaction. Acoustic laminated glass helps keep the interior remarkably quiet, shielding passengers from both road noise and outside heat.

Safety

Safety is a priority in the Luxury trim, which comes standard with Hyundai SmartSense. This suite includes Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Blind-Spot View Monitor, and Lane Keeping Assist, which are particularly helpful on fast-moving multi-lane highways. It also features a comprehensive 360-degree camera system and multiple airbags to ensure all nine occupants are protected.

The bottom line

This 2026 Staria Luxury is the perfect choice for a buyer who needs maximum seating without sacrificing premium features or style. It is a rare opportunity to own a top-spec, zero-mileage GCC van that is ready for immediate use and high resale value.
