Summary

The 2026 Lexus LX 700h marks the first time the flagship SUV has combined its legendary body-on-frame durability with a high-torque hybrid system. In the F SPORT trim, this translates to a sharper, more road-biased driving experience that doesn't compromise on the model's go-anywhere reputation. Being a GCC-spec vehicle, it features the factory-upgraded cooling systems essential for peak performance in extreme summer heat. Black is a perennially strong resale color in the UAE and Saudi markets, making this low-mileage hybrid a highly strategic purchase. For the executive who needs a desert-capable 4x4 that remains refined for city commutes between Emirates, this is the current segment leader.

This Car vs Other 2026 LX 700hs

With this being a 2026 model, the mileage is exceptionally low and represents a vehicle that has barely begun its service life. In the GCC, where annual averages often exceed 25,000 km, this example stands out as a near-new alternative to a showroom order. The Black exterior is highly sought after in the regional used market, ensuring faster resale and stronger value retention than niche colors.

F SPORT vs Lower Trims

The F SPORT trim distinguishes itself with a Torsen limited-slip rear differential and performance-tuned dampers, providing much flatter cornering on high-speed UAE highways compared to the softer Luxury trim. Visually, it adds the signature mesh grille and 22-inch forged wheels that GCC buyers recognize as the premium choice. Inside, you get a unique perforated leather steering wheel and aluminum pedals that aren't available on the standard hybrid models.

LX 700h vs Segment Rivals

While rivals like the BMW X7 and Range Rover offer hybrid options, the LX 700h is the only one in its class to retain a traditional ladder-frame chassis for genuine off-road durability. It offers a massive 110-litre fuel tank, providing a significantly longer touring range for cross-border drives compared to European competitors. Furthermore, its 457 hp hybrid output provides the immediate low-end torque required for effortless overtaking on fast-moving multi-lane roads.

Running Costs & Resale

The hybrid system is designed to thrive in stop-start traffic in cities like Riyadh and Dubai, significantly reducing fuel consumption compared to the standard LX 600. Service intervals are typically every 10,000 km, and Lexus boasts the most extensive authorized service network across the entire GCC, ensuring easy maintenance from Muscat to Kuwait City. Historically, the LX maintains the highest resale value in its segment, typically depreciating at a much slower rate than its German rivals.

Performance & Capability

The 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 hybrid produces a combined 790 Nm of torque, enabling a maximum braked towing capacity of 3,625 kg—perfect for hauling boats or trailers. The parallel hybrid system includes a unique starter-generator failsafe, ensuring the vehicle can still operate on the petrol engine alone if the hybrid system is compromised during remote desert travel. Multiple drive modes and a full-time 4WD system with a locking center differential make it as capable in the dunes as it is composed on the tarmac.

Comfort & Cabin

The F SPORT cabin features highly bolstered front seats that are both ventilated and heated, a critical feature for the GCC summer. The 5-seat configuration provides a massive boot capacity of 887 litres, easily accommodating luggage for long family road trips. Standard acoustic glass and an optimized battery cooling system ensure the cabin remains a quiet, chilled sanctuary even when external temperatures exceed 45°C.

Safety

This trim comes standard with the Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, including All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control and Lane Tracing Assist, which are invaluable for long desert highway stretches. The 360-degree Panoramic View Monitor is essential for maneuvering such a large SUV in tight city parking, while Blind Spot Monitoring provides an extra layer of safety on fast-moving six-lane highways. Ten airbags and a robust body-on-frame structure provide class-leading passive protection for all occupants.

The bottom line

For the GCC buyer who demands the prestige of a Lexus flagship with the added efficiency and torque of a hybrid, this 2026 F SPORT is the definitive choice. It represents a rare opportunity to own the latest in Japanese luxury engineering without the typical wait times for a new regional allocation.
