Summary

The 2026 LX700h VIP represents the absolute peak of the Lexus flagship lineup, introducing the first-ever hybrid powertrain to this iconic nameplate. This specific VIP trim is configured as a dedicated four-seater, offering a private lounge experience that rivals business-class travel. With its black exterior—a high-demand color for resale in the GCC—and a self-charging hybrid system that provides effortless torque in city traffic, it is perfectly suited for the region's urban luxury standards. While rivals often compromise on ruggedness, this Lexus maintains its legendary body-on-frame durability while providing unmatched rear-seat refinement. It is a compelling choice for the executive buyer who requires both presence and bulletproof reliability.

This Car vs Other 2026 LX700hs

As a 2026 model, this vehicle features the latest hybrid hardware and refreshed interior tech that defines the new generation of Lexus flagships. In the GCC market, where annual mileage often reaches 25,000 km, this hybrid variant offers a significant range advantage over the standard LX600. The black exterior is a premier choice for the UAE and Saudi markets, ensuring this listing maintains a strong value floor compared to less traditional colors.

VIP vs Lower Trims

The VIP trim removes the third row to create an expansive executive cabin, featuring twin rear captain’s chairs with a 48-degree recline and a power-retractable ottoman for the right-rear passenger. Unlike the Luxury or F Sport trims, the VIP adds a dedicated 7-inch rear touchscreen to control the massage functions, climate, and the dual 11.6-inch entertainment screens. You also get the full 25-speaker Mark Levinson Reference Surround Sound system as standard equipment, which is a significant upgrade over the base 10-speaker setup.

LX700h vs Segment Rivals

The LX700h is frequently cross-shopped with the Range Rover Autobiography and the Cadillac Escalade. It leads the segment in long-term durability thanks to its shared platform with the Land Cruiser 300, and its hybrid system delivers a massive 790 Nm of torque for smoother overtaking on highways like the E11. While the Range Rover offers high luxury, the Lexus provides a vastly superior authorized service network across every GCC nation, including smaller cities.

Running Costs & Resale

The hybrid powertrain achieves a combined fuel consumption of approximately 11.7 L/100km, a notable improvement for a vehicle of this size in stop-start Dubai or Riyadh traffic. Lexus maintains the highest resale value in the GCC luxury SUV segment, typically depreciating only 8-10% annually compared to 15% for European rivals. Authorized service centers are exceptionally well-distributed across the UAE, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia, with standard service intervals every 10,000 km.

Performance & Capability

Generating 457 horsepower and 790 Nm of torque, the LX700h delivers a 0-100 km/h sprint in roughly 6 seconds, providing plenty of power for high-speed highway merging. It retains a full-time four-wheel-drive system with a low-range transfer case and Multi-Terrain Select, ensuring it can handle desert weekend trips as easily as city commutes. The adaptive variable suspension manages the vehicle's weight perfectly, providing a 'magic carpet' ride even on uneven terrain.

Comfort & Cabin

The four-seat layout is designed for maximum summer comfort in the GCC, with ventilated and heated seats for all occupants and a dedicated rear climate zone with overhead ceiling vents. Cabin insulation has been enhanced for the hybrid model to keep the interior silent when running on electric power at low speeds. The VIP trim also features semi-aniline leather upholstery and a cool box in the center console to keep drinks chilled during long cross-border drives.

Safety

This trim comes standard with Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, which includes Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, and Lane Tracing Assist. For GCC highway driving, the Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert are essential, while the 360-degree Panoramic View Monitor makes parking this large SUV effortless. Unique to the VIP trim is a rear-seat knee airbag, providing a higher level of protection for executive passengers.

The bottom line

This LX700h VIP is the ultimate choice for the buyer who wants the prestige of a flagship Lexus with the added efficiency and power of a hybrid, all in a high-resale black-on-black configuration.
