Summary

This 2026 Nissan Patrol represents the arrival of the seventh-generation Y63, featuring the most significant mechanical and technological overhaul in over a decade. Moving from the traditional V8 to a more potent 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6, this LE Platinum City trim offers a massive leap in refinement and highway overtaking power. The Grey exterior is a high-demand, high-resale choice in the UAE, perfectly masking road dust while maintaining a modern, executive presence. For the GCC family, the transition to the Y63 means a more spacious cabin with adult-friendly third-row legroom and a vastly improved air conditioning system designed for 50°C summers. This is a rare opportunity to own the latest evolution of a regional icon without the typical new-model waitlist.

This Car vs Other 2026 Patrols

As a brand-new 2026 model, this vehicle sits at the very beginning of the Y63 lifecycle, ensuring it remains the current body style for years to come. In the GCC market, where high annual mileage is common, a new-year listing like this offers a clean slate for warranty and service contracts. The Grey finish is a strategic choice for the region, offering significantly better value retention than non-standard shades like red or blue.

LE PLATINUM CITY vs Lower Trims

The LE Platinum City is the technological flagship of the range, upgrading the experience with 22-inch machine-cut alloy wheels and premium quilted leather upholstery. While lower XE and SE trims feature smaller screens, this trim includes the full dual 14.3-inch Monolith display system and a dedicated 12-speaker Klipsch audio setup. It also adds critical GCC comforts like seat massagers and a 360-degree camera system that aren't standard on the entry-level grades.

Patrol vs Segment Rivals

The Patrol leads the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Series in both cabin technology and second-row legroom, offering a more car-like interior refinement. Its 3,700 kg towing capacity is a significant jump over the LC300, making it the preferred choice for those hauling heavy boats or trailers between Emirates. Additionally, the Patrol's independent rear suspension provides a smoother highway ride compared to more truck-like American rivals like the Chevrolet Tahoe.

Running Costs & Resale

The new twin-turbo V6 delivers a combined fuel efficiency of approximately 10–12 L/100km, a notable improvement over the outgoing V8 in GCC stop-start traffic. Nissan’s service network is arguably the most robust in the region, with authorized centers in every major city from Abu Dhabi to Muscat. Historically, the Patrol LE Platinum retains roughly 88–92% of its value after the first year in the UAE market, consistently outperforming European luxury SUVs.

Performance & Capability

The 3.5-liter twin-turbo engine produces 425 hp and a staggering 700 Nm of torque, enabling a 0–100 km/h time of approximately 6.6 seconds—remarkably fast for a 2.7-ton SUV. It features a sophisticated nine-speed automatic transmission and a selectable terrain management system with dedicated Sand, Rock, and Mud modes. The 97-liter fuel tank is engineered for long-range desert crossings and cross-border highway drives, ensuring fewer stops during long trips.

Comfort & Cabin

The eight-seat layout is reimagined for the Y63, offering up to 250mm more second-row legroom and a third row that genuinely accommodates adults. Nissan’s 'Zero Gravity' seats are standard in this trim, specifically designed to reduce fatigue on long hauls between cities. The tri-zone climate control system is reinforced for the extreme Middle Eastern heat, ensuring rapid cabin cooling even after being parked in direct sunlight.

Safety

This trim is equipped with Nissan’s full Intelligent Mobility suite, including ProPILOT Assist for semi-autonomous highway cruising. Standard safety features include Predictive Forward Collision Warning, Blind Spot Intervention, and a 360-degree Intelligent Around View Monitor. For those towing, the integrated Trailer Sway Control and Trailer Blind Spot Warning provide essential stability during fast-moving highway traffic.

The bottom line

For the executive who needs a desert-capable 4x4 that doubles as a luxury family lounge, this 2026 Patrol is the new benchmark for the GCC region.
