Summary

This 2026 ROX 01 PRESTIGE is a game-changing addition to the UAE's premium SUV market, offering a sophisticated plug-in hybrid powertrain that balances massive power with exceptional efficiency. As a nearly new vehicle, it represents a significant opportunity to own a cutting-edge 6-seater that rivals established luxury brands in both technology and interior finish. The Black exterior is highly sought after in the GCC market, ensuring strong resale demand and a commanding presence on the road. This specific model stands out for its high-performance output of 476 hp, providing effortless acceleration that is rarely seen in vehicles of this size. For the modern GCC buyer, this SUV solves the dilemma of needing a spacious family hauler that remains economical for daily city commuting while possessing the range for long-distance weekend trips to the Northern Emirates or Oman. Ownership of this vehicle places you at the forefront of automotive innovation, combining the silent operation of an EV with the reliability of a petrol range extender.

This Car vs Other 2026 ROX 01s

Being a 2026 model, this vehicle is essentially in showroom condition, offering a significant advantage over slightly older 2024 or 2025 units currently entering the used market. In the GCC, where the average annual mileage often exceeds 20,000 km, finding a current-year model ensures you are starting your ownership cycle with the maximum possible mechanical life and the latest software iterations. The Black exterior is a strategic choice for the region; it is one of the top three colors for value retention in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, making it much easier to trade or sell later compared to more niche shades. Since this is a 2026 model, it features the most up-to-date battery management systems optimized for high-temperature environments, a critical factor for longevity in our local climate. Choosing this particular unit means you are bypassing the initial steep depreciation of a brand-new car while still benefiting from a vehicle that feels and performs as if it just left the production line.

PRESTIGE vs Lower Trims

The PRESTIGE trim is the definitive choice for buyers who refuse to compromise on cabin atmosphere and technological capability. Unlike the standard trims, the PRESTIGE focuses heavily on the second-row experience, introducing ultra-luxurious captain chairs that transform the vehicle into an executive lounge on wheels. These seats often include advanced massage functions, ventilation, and heating, which are essential for staying comfortable during the intense UAE summers. You also benefit from an upgraded 360-degree camera system and high-definition sensors that make maneuvering this large SUV in tight Dubai mall parking lots effortless. The interior materials are noticeably elevated in this trim, featuring higher-grade upholstery and refined trim inserts that are absent in the entry-level models. Furthermore, the PRESTIGE usually carries the full suite of acoustic glass, significantly reducing wind and road noise during high-speed drives on the E11 or E311 highways.

ROX 01 vs Segment Rivals

The ROX 01 enters a competitive segment alongside the Li Auto L8 and the BMW X5, yet it carves out a unique space by offering a more rugged, boxy aesthetic paired with a highly efficient PHEV system. While traditional European rivals often require expensive high-octane fuel and have higher maintenance costs, the ROX 01 uses its 1.5L range extender to provide incredible fuel versatility. Its 476 hp output places it ahead of many mid-range luxury SUVs, ensuring that even when fully loaded with six passengers and luggage, it never feels underpowered. The 6-seat configuration with a dedicated center aisle provides superior accessibility compared to the cramped 7-seat layouts found in many American SUVs. For GCC drivers who frequently travel between cities, the total combined range of this PHEV system offers a peace of mind that pure electric rivals simply cannot match, especially when charging infrastructure is less dense outside major metropolitan areas.

Running Costs & Resale

Running a PHEV in the GCC offers a distinct financial advantage, especially for owners who can charge at home or work, potentially reducing daily fuel spend to near zero for city commutes. Even when running on the petrol engine, the 1.5L turbocharged four-cylinder is remarkably efficient, navigating stop-start traffic in Riyadh or Dubai far better than a traditional V8. Service intervals are predictable, and because the petrol engine acts primarily as a generator, there is less mechanical wear on the drivetrain compared to a conventional internal combustion vehicle. While ROX is a newer name in the region, its shared componentry with major global suppliers ensures that parts availability is growing rapidly across the UAE and KSA. Resale value for high-tech Chinese PHEVs is currently stabilizing as the market realizes their long-term reliability; being a PRESTIGE trim in Black, this unit is positioned at the top of the desirability curve. Expect a depreciation curve that is competitive with premium European brands, but with the added benefit of much lower monthly operating expenses.

Performance & Capability

The performance of the ROX 01 PRESTIGE is spearheaded by its dual-motor All Wheel Drive system, which delivers a staggering 476 hp. This setup allows the SUV to accelerate with the urgency of a sports car, making highway merging and overtaking exceptionally safe and easy. The 1.5L engine serves as a sophisticated range extender, meaning you get the instant torque of an electric motor without any of the range anxiety associated with EVs. The AWD system is intelligently tuned to handle varied surfaces; while it is a luxury crossover at heart, it handles gravel tracks and sandy coastal roads with confidence. The transition between electric and petrol power is nearly imperceptible, providing a smooth, linear power delivery that is perfect for long-distance cruises across the Emirates. With multiple drive modes available, the driver can prioritize pure electric silent running for the city or maximum power for the open road.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside the ROX 01 PRESTIGE, the focus is squarely on a first-class travel experience for all six occupants. The 2+2+2 seating layout ensures that every passenger has ample personal space, with the second-row captain chairs serving as the highlight of the cabin. The air conditioning system is engineered to cope with extreme 45°C+ temperatures, featuring powerful vents that reach all three rows effectively. High-quality insulation ensures that the cabin remains a quiet sanctuary, protecting you from the hustle and bustle of city traffic. The infotainment system is massive and highly responsive, acting as the hub for everything from climate control to navigation and media. Large windows and an expansive sunroof create an airy, bright atmosphere, while the premium audio system provides an immersive soundstage that makes long drives to Al Ain or Fujairah much more enjoyable. Storage is also a priority, with numerous cubbies and a flexible boot space that expands easily when the third row is folded.

Safety

Safety in the ROX 01 PRESTIGE is managed by one of the most advanced sensor suites currently available on the market. This includes a comprehensive ADAS system that provides Level 2 autonomous driving features such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, and automated emergency braking. In the fast-moving, multi-lane traffic environments of the GCC, the blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alerts are invaluable for preventing collisions. The vehicle's structure is built with high-strength steel to provide a rigid safety cell for all six passengers, complemented by a full array of airbags. The 360-degree high-definition camera system provides a bird's-eye view of the vehicle, which is essential for safely navigating through tight urban areas or around obstacles. This trim's safety tech is often an expensive option on European rivals, but here it is standard, offering peace of mind for families who prioritize the highest levels of protection.

The bottom line

The ROX 01 PRESTIGE is the ideal choice for a tech-forward family in the UAE looking for a 6-seater that combines the power of a supercar with the running costs of a compact car. This 2026 listing is a rare opportunity to secure a top-tier luxury SUV that is perfectly adapted for the future of GCC motoring.
