Summary

This 2026 ROX 01 VIP is a standout choice in the luxury EREV market, offering the refinement of an electric drive with a high-capacity range extender. With just 32 km on the clock, it represents a brand-new opportunity in a sleek black finish, a highly favored color for maintaining strong resale value in the GCC. The VIP trim is a significant step up, providing a lounge-like seven-seat configuration that rivals the comfort of established luxury European SUVs. Its intelligent all-wheel-drive system and specialized sand-surfing mode make it uniquely suited for the diverse terrains of the UAE and Saudi Arabia. For the GCC buyer, the primary benefit is the 70-liter fuel tank acting as a mobile generator, ensuring you can traverse long desert highways without ever needing to search for a charging station.

This Car vs Other 2026 ROX 01s

With just 32 km of delivery mileage, this ROX 01 is practically untouched compared to the 20,000 km annual average typically seen in the GCC market. The black exterior is the most sought-after choice for local resale, ensuring better value retention than more adventurous colors. Being a 2026 model, it benefits from the latest software refinements and battery management optimizations over earlier production batches.

VIP vs Lower Trims

The VIP trim transforms the ROX 01 from a standard family hauler into a luxury cruiser, adding premium cabin materials and enhanced second-row comfort features that are essential for long GCC drives. It features an upgraded ADAS suite with high-precision sensors and the full-scenario 360° camera system as standard. Owners also benefit from the high-resolution 12-inch touchscreen and a more sophisticated multi-zone climate control system designed for peak summer performance.

01 vs Segment Rivals

The ROX 01 leads its segment with an extraordinary 1,362 km combined range (CLTC), comfortably outdistancing the Li L8 on long-haul drives between emirates. Its 700 mm wading depth and dedicated sand mode give it genuine off-road utility that road-biased competitors like the Avatr 11 lack. Inside, the 3,010 mm wheelbase provides superior third-row legroom, making it a more practical seven-seater for large families than many mid-size luxury hybrids.

Running Costs & Resale

As an EREV, fuel costs are exceptionally low in stop-start city traffic where the 1.5L engine barely cycles, while highway efficiency remains strong for a vehicle of its size. Maintenance is simplified as the petrol engine operates at constant, optimized speeds, reducing wear on internal components. While ROX is a newer brand in the region, its high-quality CATL battery and Pininfarina-designed body are helping it establish a healthy resale profile alongside other premium Chinese marques. A growing network of authorized centers in major hubs like Dubai and Riyadh ensures reliable long-term support.

Performance & Capability

The 500 hp dual-motor system delivers a 0–100 km/h time of approximately 5.5 seconds, providing effortless overtaking power on fast-moving UAE highways. Its all-wheel-drive system is paired with seven distinct driving modes, including 'Sand' and 'Wade,' specifically engineered to handle desert exploration and coastal flooding. The air suspension and body attitude correction system maintain a flat, composed ride even when fully loaded with seven passengers.

Comfort & Cabin

The 2+2+3 seating layout in the VIP trim offers spacious second-row seating with dedicated climate controls, a must-have for the harsh GCC summer. High-grade acoustic glass significantly reduces wind noise during high-speed highway cruising, while the massive panoramic sunroof features advanced heat-insulation coating. The cabin also includes a digital rearview mirror and vehicle-to-load (V2L) capabilities, allowing you to power camping equipment directly from the car's battery.

Safety

The ROX 01 is equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including a high-strength steel cage and multiple airbags providing 360-degree protection. Active systems like Full-Scenario AEB, blind-spot monitoring, and lane-keeping assist are particularly effective for navigating the fast-paced multi-lane traffic of Sheikh Zayed Road. Additional features like hill-descent control and rollover movement intervention provide extra confidence when taking the family off the tarmac and into the dunes.

The bottom line

This 2026 ROX 01 VIP is the perfect match for a tech-forward family needing a long-range luxury SUV that can handle both the school run and a weekend in the desert. With delivery mileage and a classic black finish, it represents the smartest way to enter the premium EREV segment right now.
