Summary

The 2026 ROX 01 VIP represents the next generation of range-extended SUVs, offering a unique solution for GCC drivers who want electric performance without range anxiety. Its dual-motor all-wheel-drive system delivers a massive 740 Nm of torque, ensuring effortless overtaking on fast-moving UAE highways. This 6-seater VIP trim is finished in Grey, a color known for its strong heat deflection and excellent resale stability in the local market. Unlike pure electric rivals, the ROX 01 uses a 1.5L range extender to provide peace of mind during long cross-border drives to Oman or Saudi Arabia. It is a sophisticated, tech-forward choice for families who prioritize cabin refinement and go-anywhere capability.

This Car vs Other 2026 ROX 01s

As a 2026 model, this ROX 01 is among the newest arrivals in the GCC used market, often presenting in near-showroom condition. Its mileage is typically negligible compared to the 25,000 km annual average for SUVs in this region, making it a fresh alternative to high-mileage standard hybrids. The Grey exterior is highly sought after in the UAE for its ability to maintain a clean appearance despite desert dust.

VIP vs Lower Trims

The VIP trim is the definitive luxury choice, replacing the standard bench seat with aviation-grade second-row captain's chairs that feature heating, ventilation, and massage functions. It upgrades the cabin with a premium 14-speaker audio system and a 15.7-inch 3K touchscreen powered by the Snapdragon 8155 chip. These high-spec additions are critical for maintaining value in the GCC's competitive luxury SUV segment.

01 vs Segment Rivals

The ROX 01 competes directly with the Li Auto L8 and the Defender 110, leading the way with a superior 700 mm wading depth for rainy season resilience. While rivals often force a choice between city efficiency and off-road grit, the 01 offers 5 dedicated terrain modes including a specific Sand mode for weekend desert excursions. Its combined range of 1,362 km significantly outdistances pure EV competitors on the Dubai-to-Riyadh run.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the REEV system averages approximately 7.95L/100km, which is exceptionally efficient for a 3-ton SUV in stop-start city traffic. Maintenance is simplified as the 1.5L range extender operates in a steady efficiency band, reducing mechanical wear compared to traditional engines. Authorized service centers and parts distributors are now established across Dubai and Sharjah, supporting strong early value retention for the brand.

Performance & Capability

With a combined 476 hp, the ROX 01 delivers the instant torque typical of a high-performance EV, reaching 100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds. The intelligent all-wheel-drive system and DCC adaptive damping allow the vehicle to transition seamlessly from smooth highway cruising to rugged trail navigation. A 205 mm ground clearance ensures it handles gravel tracks and speed humps with total composure.

Comfort & Cabin

The 6-seat VIP layout provides a first-class experience for all passengers, with multi-zone climate control designed to combat 45°C summer peaks. Nappa leather-appointed seats with massage functions make long commutes between Emirates feel remarkably short. The cabin is further enhanced by a digital rearview mirror and a 360-degree transparent chassis camera for effortless parking and maneuvering.

Safety

This trim comes standard with a comprehensive L2 ADAS suite, including adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist, which are essential for long desert highway drives. The high-strength steel cage and multiple airbag system provide five-star levels of protection for all six occupants. Additional safety features like blind-spot monitoring and forward collision warning offer vital support in fast-moving multi-lane traffic.

The bottom line

This 2026 ROX 01 VIP is the ideal choice for a tech-savvy family looking for the ultimate mix of luxury, massive range, and genuine off-road talent in the GCC.
