Summary

This 2026 ROX 01 Captain ETE represents a unique opportunity to own a cutting-edge extended-range electric vehicle that is effectively brand new. As a Chinese spec model, it offers the highest level of interior technology and cabin features often reserved for its domestic market, including the luxury airline-style seating configuration. The Black exterior is a high-demand color in the GCC, ensuring strong visual appeal and better-than-average resale liquidity. For buyers in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, this model stands out by eliminating range anxiety through its 1.5L range-extender while providing the silent, high-torque drive of a pure EV. It is a sophisticated alternative for those who want the rugged aesthetics of a classic off-roader paired with modern efficiency.

This Car vs Other 2026 ROX 01s

With this being the current model year, the car presents in showroom condition with negligible wear. In the GCC market where annual mileage often reaches 25,000 km, a zero-kilometer or very low-mileage 2026 model offers a significant head start on long-term value. The Black on Black configuration is a preferred resale choice locally, consistently holding value better than lighter or experimental tones.

CAPTAIN ETE vs Lower Trims

The Captain ETE trim is the premium 6-seater variant, distinguishing itself from the base 7-seater with luxury second-row 'Airline' captain chairs. These seats feature 12-way electric adjustment, ventilation, heating, and an 8-point massage function that is highly valued in the GCC summer. It also includes the rear entertainment screen and the advanced ADAS sensor suite as standard, which are often options on lower entry trims.

ROX 01 vs Segment Rivals

The ROX 01 leads its primary rivals like the Li Auto L8 and GWM Tank 500 Hi4-T in pure electric range, offering up to 235 km (WLTC) on battery alone. Its Pininfarina-designed exterior provides a more rugged, 'adventure-ready' stance than the road-biased Lexus RX or Volvo XC90. Additionally, its unique 700 mm wading depth and specialized 'Sand Surfing' mode make it a more capable weekend companion for desert outings than typical luxury crossovers.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption is highly efficient for a vehicle of this size, averaging approximately 7.95 L/100 km when the range extender is active. Service intervals are typically every 10,000 km, and while the brand is emerging, dedicated service centers are established in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. As a Chinese spec vehicle, buyers should note that local warranty support may require a specific service package from authorized regional providers to ensure software continuity and parts priority.

Performance & Capability

The dual-motor system delivers a verified 0–100 km/h time of 5.5 seconds, providing effortless overtaking power on fast-moving UAE highways. With 740 Nm of peak torque and full-time AWD, it handles steep inclines and soft sand tracks with surprising composure. The 70-liter fuel tank works alongside the 56.01 kWh battery to provide a total cruising range that can exceed 1,300 km, making it ideal for cross-border trips between the Emirates and Oman or Saudi Arabia.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is centered around the executive 2+2+2 seating layout, featuring premium Nappa leather and a flat-floor design for easy movement. The climate control system is specifically engineered to handle high ambient temperatures, supported by rear-seat vents and a powerful cooling capacity. The 'Zero Gravity' recline mode in the second row, paired with acoustic glass, creates a serene environment for long-distance highway travel across the region.

Safety

Safety is managed by an advanced ADAS suite that includes full-speed adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking (AEB) effective up to 120 km/h, and a 3D transparent chassis view for navigating tricky terrain. The vehicle is equipped with a comprehensive multi-airbag system and high-strength steel-aluminum hybrid construction. These active systems are particularly beneficial for maintaining safety on high-speed, multi-lane GCC motorways.

The bottom line

Perfect for the tech-forward family or executive who wants a luxury SUV with zero range anxiety and a world-class cabin experience. This 2026 model in Black offers the best combination of immediate availability and high-spec features currently available in the market.
