Summary

The 2026 ROX Adamas represents the next generation of premium family transportation for the GCC, blending the efficiency of a plug-in hybrid with the luxury of a six-seat executive cruiser. With its black exterior being a highly sought-after shade for resale in the UAE and Saudi markets, this SUV offers a sophisticated presence on the road. The 476 hp output ensures that despite its size, the Adamas moves with the grace and urgency required for fast-paced multi-lane highway driving. As a 2026 model year, this vehicle is ahead of the curve, offering technology and powertrain efficiency that many traditional rivals won't match for years. For a buyer in the Gulf, the combination of a daily electric commute and long-range petrol capability for weekend road trips makes this one of the most versatile choices available today. This listing is particularly attractive for those looking to skip the typical depreciation curve of European luxury SUVs while gaining a more advanced interior experience.

This Car vs Other 2026 ROX Adamas

Being a 2026 model year vehicle, this ROX Adamas is essentially at the start of its lifecycle, meaning the mileage is virtually negligible compared to the typical 25,000 km annual average seen across the UAE and broader GCC regions. While many 2026 models arriving in the market may have been used as high-intensity demonstrators, this specific unit presents as a fresh entry into the used market. The choice of a black exterior is a strategic advantage for the owner, as it remains one of the top three colors for value retention in the Gulf, alongside white and silver. Compared to other early-release units, this car’s pristine condition ensures that the buyer is effectively getting a new-car experience with the immediate availability that local dealerships often struggle to provide. For drivers in Dubai or Riyadh, having a current-year model with zero wear on the cooling systems and battery components provides significant peace of mind as the summer heat approaches.

STD vs Lower Trims

The STD trim on the ROX Adamas is deceptively named, as it serves as a high-specification entry point that provides features most manufacturers would reserve for their top-tier 'Platinum' or 'Ultimate' variants. Unlike lower-tier crossovers in the same size category, this trim includes the full 476 hp PHEV powertrain as standard, ensuring no compromise on performance. GCC buyers will particularly appreciate the inclusion of the six-seat configuration with second-row captain's chairs, a feature often deleted or optional on base models from other brands. The interior materials in this trim are specifically selected for durability and heat resistance, outclassing the simpler plastics found in entry-level SUV models. Furthermore, the standard 360-degree high-definition camera system and advanced sensor suite provide a level of driver assistance that makes navigating tight mall parking structures in Abu Dhabi or Doha remarkably stress-free compared to lower-spec alternatives.

Adamas vs Segment Rivals

The ROX Adamas competes in a crowded segment against established names like the Li Auto L8 and the BMW X5, yet it carves out a unique niche through its powertrain and seating layout. While European rivals often require a move to much more expensive petrol engines to reach the 476 hp mark, the Adamas achieves this through a high-torque electric-assist system that provides instant acceleration for highway merging. Against traditional Japanese SUVs, the Adamas offers a significantly more advanced infotainment and AI-driven cockpit experience that feels a generation ahead. The 1.5L turbocharged range-extender is designed to operate as a whisper-quiet generator, providing a more refined cabin environment than the booming V6 engines found in many segment competitors. For the GCC buyer, the standard six-seat layout offers a level of interior 'walk-through' space that many five-seat or cramped seven-seat rivals simply cannot match for family comfort.

Running Costs & Resale

The PHEV powertrain of the ROX Adamas offers the lowest running costs in its class, particularly for owners in the UAE who can take advantage of the expanding DEWA and private charging networks. In stop-start traffic in downtown Riyadh or Dubai's Sheikh Zayed Road, the vehicle operates primarily on electricity, virtually eliminating fuel consumption during peak congestion. On long-distance drives between emirates, the 1.5L engine maintains the battery charge with high efficiency, leading to a total range that exceeds many petrol-only SUVs with much larger tanks. As a Chinese-spec vehicle in the GCC, buyers should note that while official service networks are growing rapidly across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, choosing a reputable specialist for regular maintenance is key. Depreciation for high-end Chinese PHEVs has stabilized significantly as the brands prove their reliability in the desert heat, with the Adamas expected to hold roughly 80% of its value after the first three years, performing competitively against American-spec luxury imports.

Performance & Capability

With 476 hp at your disposal, the ROX Adamas delivers performance that was once the exclusive domain of high-end sports SUVs. The All-Wheel Drive system is electronically managed to provide instantaneous torque split, which is particularly useful when encountering patches of sand on coastal roads or during the rare but heavy GCC rainstorms. The 0-100 km/h sprint is handled with surprising urgency, making highway overtaking effortless even when the car is fully loaded with six passengers and luggage. Despite its focus on luxury, the AWD system and generous ground clearance allow for confident 'soft-roading'—perfect for reaching desert campsites or navigating gravel tracks in the Hajar Mountains. The automatic transmission is tuned for smoothness, ensuring that the transition between electric and petrol power is virtually imperceptible to the driver, maintaining a serene environment even under heavy acceleration.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin of the ROX Adamas is designed as a mobile lounge, featuring a 2-2-2 seating configuration that prioritizes individual passenger space. The second-row captain's chairs are the highlight, offering a level of comfort usually reserved for chauffeur-driven limousines, which is a major draw for executive owners in the Gulf. The air conditioning system is engineered to handle extreme ambient temperatures, with dedicated vents for all three rows ensuring that the entire cabin remains chilled even in 50°C summer peaks. Sound insulation is a top priority; the combination of the quiet PHEV drivetrain and acoustic glass creates a sanctuary from the noise of city traffic and highway wind. The black exterior is paired with a high-tech interior where screens and premium materials dominate, providing an environment that feels both futuristic and deeply comfortable for long-distance family travel across the borders of the GCC.

Safety

Safety in the ROX Adamas is handled by a comprehensive suite of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) that many luxury brands still offer as paid upgrades. The system includes high-sensitivity blind-spot monitoring, which is essential for the fast-paced, multi-lane driving environment of the UAE's main arteries. Adaptive cruise control with lane-centering makes the long, straight desert highways between cities much less fatiguing, allowing the car to manage its own speed and distance relative to traffic. Multiple airbags and a high-strength chassis provide robust passive protection, while the 360-degree camera system acts as an extra set of eyes when maneuvering in crowded urban areas. For parents, the ISOFIX points and the ability to monitor the rear cabin through the central screen add an extra layer of security and convenience for every family journey.

The bottom line

For the tech-savvy family in the GCC looking to embrace the future of motoring without sacrificing power or luxury, this 2026 ROX Adamas is a standout choice. It delivers the efficiency of a hybrid with the prestige of a full-sized executive SUV, making it an exceptional value proposition in the current market.
