ROX Adamas STANDARD

Highlights

• Most advanced ADAS standard
• 7+ seat capacity with captain chairs
• Lowest running cost in class

Summary

This 2026 ROX Adamas represents a cutting-edge shift in the luxury SUV market, offering a sophisticated Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) powertrain that balances immense power with daily efficiency. With a 6-seat configuration featuring high-end second-row seating, it is perfectly suited for GCC families who prioritize both tech-forward cabins and passenger comfort. Despite being a Chinese spec, this vehicle provides a massive horsepower advantage over traditional European and Japanese rivals in the same price bracket. The gold exterior is a prestigious choice that holds its value well in the regional market, reflecting heat better than darker tones during the intense summer months. Choosing this model now allows you to stay ahead of the curve as ROX gains a stronger foothold in the regional luxury segment. It is a compelling alternative for those who find the standard premium options too common in Dubai and Riyadh traffic.

This Car vs Other 2026 Adamas

As a 2026 model, this vehicle is essentially brand new to the market, offering the latest refinements in battery management and software integration from ROX. While some pre-owned examples might emerge with varying usage, this specific unit stands out due to its pristine condition as a current-year release. In the GCC, where the average annual mileage is roughly 25,000 km, getting into a 2026 model early means you are ahead of the typical depreciation curve. The gold finish is particularly desirable here, as it maintains a clean appearance even with the fine dust common in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Comparatively, this unit offers a fresh warranty perspective and updated in-car entertainment systems that early production batches might lack. It is a strategic purchase for a buyer looking to maximize the 'new car' feel without the immediate steepest drop in valuation.

STD vs Lower Trims

The STD trim on the ROX Adamas is deceptively comprehensive, serving as a flagship-level entry that includes features most manufacturers would reserve for an 'Executive' or 'Limited' badge. Unlike lower-tier SUVs in this class, this trim includes the full 6-seat layout with dedicated captain's chairs in the middle row, providing a level of luxury usually found in much larger vans or luxury limousines. You also benefit from the complete suite of interior ambient lighting and premium materials that are often stripped back in base models. The 476 hp output is standard here, ensuring you don't lose out on performance compared to any 'Performance' labeled variants. Furthermore, the STD trim includes the oversized infotainment screen and digital cockpit as standard, ensuring the cabin feels like a private lounge rather than a cockpit. For the GCC buyer, the standard inclusion of a powerful multi-zone climate control system is the most critical upgrade over lesser-equipped competitors.

Adamas vs Segment Rivals

When compared to established rivals like the Li Auto L8 or the BMW X5, the Adamas offers a distinct advantage in sheer horsepower and seating versatility. While the X5 is a staple on UAE roads, it lacks the standard PHEV range and the 6-seat captain chair configuration that the Adamas provides out of the box. Against Japanese rivals like the Lexus RX, this model provides nearly double the torque and a much more advanced software ecosystem. The Chinese engineering focuses heavily on 'smart' features, meaning the ADAS and parking assistant systems are often generations ahead of what is found in more traditional luxury SUVs. For long-distance GCC travelers, the Adamas offers a more cushioned ride quality specifically tuned for high-speed highway cruising. This model bridges the gap between a rugged SUV and a high-tech family carrier better than almost anything else in the mid-to-large segment.

Running Costs & Resale

The PHEV powertrain in this vehicle is its greatest financial asset, allowing for virtually cost-free daily commutes if charged at home while providing a 1.5L range-extender for long trips to Oman or across the Emirates. Expected fuel consumption is significantly lower than a traditional V6 or V8 SUV, especially in heavy stop-start urban traffic in Riyadh or Dubai. While this is a Chinese spec vehicle, parts for ROX models are becoming increasingly available through specialized independent centers across the GCC, and many components are shared with major global suppliers. Resale value for premium Chinese brands is stabilizing rapidly in the UAE as consumer trust grows in their reliability and tech leadership. Regular service intervals are generally every 10,000 km, focusing on the electric drive system and the efficient 4-cylinder engine. Compared to European luxury brands that can lose 15% of their value annually, the Adamas is expected to follow a more moderate depreciation path as it gains a cult following.

Performance & Capability

With a staggering 476 hp delivered through an intelligent All-Wheel Drive system, the Adamas handles highway overtaking with effortless ease. The 0-100 km/h acceleration is remarkably linear, providing a surge of power that belies the vehicle's size, making it a joy to drive on the open roads of the UAE. Despite its luxury focus, the AWD system is capable of handling light desert trails and sandy beach approaches for weekend family outings. The automatic transmission is tuned for smoothness, ensuring that power delivery never feels jerky, even when the 1.5L engine kicks in to support the electric motors. The ground clearance is ample for most urban obstacles and uneven terrain found in newer GCC developments. Whether you are navigating a rain-slicked highway or a gravel path leading to a desert farm, the Adamas remains planted and responsive.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior of the Adamas is a masterclass in modern ergonomics, centered around six high-quality seats that provide ample legroom even in the third row. The second-row captain's chairs are the highlight, offering a first-class experience for passengers with dedicated armrests and easy access to climate controls. The cabin insulation is specifically designed to block out both road noise and the intense external heat of the GCC summer, creating a serene environment. The air conditioning system is exceptionally robust, capable of cooling the large interior volume rapidly even after the car has been parked in the sun. Soft-touch materials are used throughout, giving the cabin a premium feel that rivals cars twice its price. Large windows and a panoramic roof (where equipped) provide a sense of openness, making long family road trips feel less fatiguing.

Safety

Safety is a pillar of the ROX design philosophy, and the Adamas comes equipped with a highly advanced ADAS suite that monitors the environment in 360 degrees. Standard features include adaptive cruise control, which is indispensable for the long stretches of highway between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, as well as lane-keep assist and emergency braking. The high-resolution cameras provide a clear view for parking in tight mall spaces, a common requirement for residents of major GCC cities. Blind-spot monitoring is particularly effective here, helping drivers manage fast-moving traffic on multi-lane freeways. Multiple airbags and a high-strength chassis provide peace of mind for family use, ensuring maximum protection for all six occupants. These systems are calibrated to handle the unique light and heat conditions of the region, ensuring sensors remain reliable throughout the year.

The bottom line

For the tech-savvy buyer who wants the power of a sports car in a 6-seat luxury family SUV, this 2026 ROX Adamas is the ultimate modern choice. It offers a unique combination of PHEV efficiency and prestigious presence that makes it a standout listing in the current GCC market.
