• Extensive GCC authorised service network

Summary

This 2026 Toyota Hiace DX represents the definitive choice for high-capacity transport in the GCC, offering a rare combination of 3.5L V6 power and a robust manual gearbox for total control. As a brand-new vehicle, it bypasses the typical wear associated with high-mileage commercial fleets, providing a fresh start for logistics or specialized staff transport. The white exterior remains the region’s most practical choice, providing maximum heat reflection and securing its status as a highly liquid asset in the used market. In a region where mechanical durability is the ultimate currency, the Hiace stands alone due to its unmatched parts availability and the sheer density of its service network. For any operator from Dubai to Riyadh, this van offers the perfect balance of highway overtaking capability and long-term logistical reliability.

This Car vs Other 2026 Hiaces

As a zero-mileage 2026 model, this Hiace offers a significant reliability advantage over the high-wear typical of used commercial units in the GCC. The white exterior is the highest-demand color for this model locally, ensuring both heat efficiency and the strongest possible resale value when it comes time to upgrade.

DX vs Lower Trims

The DX trim serves as the essential workhorse foundation, focusing on mechanical durability and maximum internal volume for the 9+ passenger configuration. Unlike higher trims that add aesthetic chrome and electronic driver aids, the DX prioritizes the robust 7GR-FKS V6 engine and a simplified interior designed to withstand heavy daily commercial use.

Hiace vs Segment Rivals

The Hiace leads competitors like the Nissan Urvan and Ford Transit primarily through its superior engine output and market liquidity. While rivals may offer slightly different dimensions, the Hiace’s 3.5L V6 provides better highway pull for inter-emirate trips, backed by a service network that is far more extensive across the entire GCC region.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the V6 petrol manual averages approximately 11–13 L/100km depending on load and GCC highway speeds. Service intervals are typically scheduled every 10,000 km, with Al Futtaim and other regional distributors providing wide access to parts and specialized maintenance. The Hiace historically retains around 68% of its value after three years, outperforming most commercial rivals in the UAE and KSA markets.

Performance & Capability

The 3.5L V6 engine delivers a verified 278 hp, providing the necessary muscle for full-occupancy highway driving and steep mountain passes in the Northern Emirates. The rear-wheel-drive configuration and 6-speed manual transmission offer mechanical simplicity and direct control, ensuring the van remains capable even under a full payload of passengers or cargo.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is engineered for durability, featuring easy-to-clean upholstery and a seating capacity of 9+ that can be configured for various shuttle or logistics roles. Dedicated air conditioning vents for the rear rows are a critical inclusion for the GCC climate, ensuring passenger comfort during the peak summer months. The high-roof design provides ample headroom, making frequent entry and exit easier for passengers.

Safety

Standard safety features on this GCC-spec trim include dual front airbags, an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), and Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) to manage the van's footprint on sandy or slick surfaces. The inclusion of Brake Assist (BA) and a reinforced frame provides essential protection for high-occupancy transport, making it a safe choice for corporate or school fleets.

The bottom line

For the business owner or transport manager seeking a zero-mileage, mechanically simple V6 workhorse, this Hiace DX offers the best long-term value and resale security in the GCC market.
