Summary

This Land Cruiser VX represents a prime opportunity to secure a near-new flagship in the GCC's most iconic SUV lineage. With its black exterior offering strong resale appeal in the regional market, this trim bridges the gap between rugged utility and high-end executive comfort. The 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 delivers 409 hp, providing effortless highway overtaking and the low-end torque required for deep desert sand. For any buyer in the UAE or wider GCC, the peace of mind offered by Toyota's unmatched service network and legendary value retention makes this a safer financial bet than almost any European rival. It is the definitive choice for those who need a seven-seat family vehicle that transitions seamlessly from city commutes to cross-border road trips.

This Car vs Other 2026 Land Cruisers

As a 2026 model, this vehicle is at the leading edge of the LC300 generation, benefitting from the most recent software refinements to its 10-speed transmission and safety suite. With minimal time on the road, it offers a significant advantage over typical high-mileage GCC examples that often see 25,000 km in their first year. The black exterior is one of the top three colors for liquidity in the local used market, ensuring faster resale and better price protection.

VX vs Lower Trims

The VX trim adds a significant layer of refinement over the GXR, most notably featuring the Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) which dramatically improves ride quality on the highway. Inside, it upgrades the cabin with a larger 12.3-inch infotainment display, premium leather seating, and a more comprehensive suite of active safety technologies. GCC buyers will particularly appreciate the addition of ventilated front seats and the upgraded multi-zone climate control system, which are essential for summer comfort.

Land Cruiser vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Nissan Patrol, the Land Cruiser 300 leads with its more modern TNGA-F platform and a highly efficient 10-speed automatic gearbox. While rivals like the Ford Expedition offer more absolute cabin volume, the Land Cruiser maintains a superior 110-litre fuel capacity for long-range desert crossings. Its primary advantage remains its off-road geometry, featuring a 235 mm ground clearance and specialized Crawl Control hardware that few luxury SUVs can match.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 typically averages around 12.1 L/100km, though this varies during stop-start city traffic in Dubai or Riyadh. Service intervals are standardized at 10,000 km, supported by the most extensive network of authorized centers across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman. Historically, the Land Cruiser retains approximately 77% of its value after three years in the GCC, significantly outperforming European luxury crossovers.

Performance & Capability

The 409 hp twin-turbo V6 enables a 0–100 km/h sprint in approximately 6.7 seconds, a remarkable figure for a full-size body-on-frame SUV. Its capability is anchored by a 700 mm wading depth and a full-time 4WD system with a low-range transfer case for serious terrain. Whether you are navigating technical wadis or cruising at 140 km/h on the highway to Muscat, the 650 Nm of torque provides relentless, smooth power delivery.

Comfort & Cabin

The seven-seat layout is designed for family logistics, featuring a power-folding third row that creates a flat load floor when not in use. The cabin is specifically insulated against the extreme GCC heat, utilizing high-performance glass and a powerful air conditioning system with dedicated rear vents. Luxury touches include a cooled center console refrigerator and high-fidelity audio, making long-distance drives across the Emirates a refined experience.

Safety

The VX trim comes standard with an advanced ADAS suite, including Pre-Collision System, Lane Departure Alert, and Adaptive Cruise Control, which are vital for fast-moving GCC highway traffic. Passive safety is equally robust, featuring a comprehensive 10-airbag system that includes curtain protection for all three rows. The 360-degree Panoramic View Monitor provides essential visibility when maneuvering this large SUV in tight city parking or over blind desert crests.

The bottom line

This 2026 Land Cruiser VX is the perfect match for a family or professional who needs the GCC’s most reliable status symbol in a premium, high-resale specification.
