Summary

This 2026 Hyundai Staria LUXURY delivers a futuristic spaceship-inspired design that immediately separates it from traditional, boxy competitors. Powered by a refined 3.5-litre V6, it offers smooth highway performance and enough power to handle a full load of passengers across the Emirates. The Black exterior is a high-demand resale choice in the GCC, while the nine-seat configuration provides exceptional utility for large families or executive transport. In the local market, the Staria is prized for its lounge-like interior and massive panoramic windows that create an airy feel rare in this segment. For a GCC buyer, this model represents a modern, tech-forward alternative to the Toyota Granvia and Kia Carnival, backed by one of the strongest service networks in the region.

This Car vs Other 2026 Starias

As a current-year model with zero years of age, this Staria represents the freshest iteration of Hyundai's MPV flagship. In the GCC market, where high annual mileage is common for large vans, this vehicle's unused status is a significant advantage for long-term reliability and resale. The Abyss Black paint is among the most sought-after colors in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, ensuring it will attract premium interest when it eventually returns to the used market.

LUXURY vs Lower Trims

The LUXURY trim adds significant premium features that GCC buyers value, including Nappa leather upholstery and ventilated second-row captain's chairs—an essential for comfort during the peak summer months. It also upgrades the cabin with a 64-color ambient mood lighting system and a 12-speaker Bose audio setup. Unlike lower Wagon or Comfort trims, the LUXURY variant features the full-width LED horizon light and parametric pixel tail lights that define the model's high-tech aesthetic.

Staria vs Segment Rivals

The Staria leads the Kia Carnival and Toyota Granvia in pure visual impact and interior headroom, utilizing a lower beltline and massive glass panels to reduce the 'closed-in' feel of rival vans. Its 3.5-litre V6 is specifically tuned for smooth delivery, making it more refined for executive shuttle duties than many four-cylinder competitors. The Staria's unique nine-seat layout also provides a middle ground of flexibility that few other modern MPVs can match.

Running Costs & Resale

The 3.5L V6 is a proven powertrain across the GCC, capable of running on widely available fuel grades and thriving in extreme heat. Owners can expect fuel consumption of roughly 14.5 L/100km in stop-start city traffic in Dubai or Riyadh, dropping toward 8.2 L/100km on long highway stretches between emirates. Hyundai maintains an extensive authorized service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, ensuring parts are affordable and readily available. The Staria has shown strong value retention in the local market, typically depreciating slower than European luxury counterparts.

Performance & Capability

With a top speed of 210 km/h and an 8.9-second 0–100 km/h sprint, the Staria offers surprising agility for its size. The 272 hp V6 provides confident overtaking power on fast-moving UAE highways, even when the cabin is fully occupied. The 8-speed automatic transmission is geared for smoothness, ensuring gear shifts remain imperceptible to VIP passengers in the rear. While designed for paved surfaces, its 186 mm ground clearance handles urban speed bumps and gravel access roads with ease.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed around 'The Lounge' concept, featuring a flat floor and a walk-through layout that makes moving between rows effortless. For the GCC climate, the multi-zone climate control and dedicated rear AC vents are exceptionally powerful, reaching even the third row effectively. The LUXURY trim's ventilated seats and high-quality insulation from road and wind noise make it a top choice for long family road trips or cross-border travel. Panoramic windows provide class-leading visibility, making the interior feel far more spacious than traditional minivans.

Safety

The 2026 Staria LUXURY comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite, including Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist and Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance—crucial for navigating multi-lane highway traffic. It also features a 360-degree Surround View Monitor to make parking its 5.2-meter length simple in tight city spots. Standard equipment includes six airbags and ISOFIX points, ensuring it meets the high safety standards expected by modern families in the GCC.

The bottom line

This 2026 Staria LUXURY is the ideal choice for a buyer who wants the utility of a nine-seater without the dated styling of a traditional van. It offers a premium, showroom-fresh opportunity in the region's best resale color with the highest available feature set.
