Summary

This 2027 Suzuki Jimny GL 5-door represents a rare opportunity to own a current-model-year off-roader with zero mileage in the desirable black exterior. The 5-door configuration is a significant step up from the classic 3-door, offering much easier rear-seat access and a wheelbase extended by 340 mm for better on-road stability. In the GCC market, the Jimny is a resale champion, often holding its value better than luxury SUVs thanks to its bulletproof reliability and cult status among desert enthusiasts. As a brand-new vehicle with GCC specifications, it offers full compatibility with regional service centers and is perfectly suited for both city commuting in Dubai and weekend overlanding trips.

This Car vs Other 2027 Jimnys

As a 2027 model with no specified mileage, this vehicle is effectively brand new, sitting at the very top of the used market value curve. The black exterior is a strong choice for the GCC, offering a more executive look to this rugged SUV while maintaining high demand and strong resale liquidity. Compared to older 3-door variants often found on the market, this 5-door model provides the extra practicality that most local buyers now prioritize for small family use.

GL vs Lower Trims

The GL trim serves as the balanced entry into the Jimny lineup, providing the essential mechanical 4x4 hardware found on higher trims but with more durable interior finishes. It includes power windows and central locking as standard, which were absent on the base GA trim previously offered in some markets. For the GCC buyer, the GL provides the perfect canvas for off-road modifications, allowing you to choose your own wheels and accessories without paying the premium for the factory GLX trim's aesthetic add-ons.

Jimny vs Segment Rivals

The Jimny stands alone in a unique segment, but buyers often cross-shop it against the Jeep Wrangler and the Ford Bronco Sport. Where the Jimny leads is in pure agility; its narrow 1,645 mm width allows it to navigate tight wadi tracks that larger 4x4s cannot. Furthermore, its lightweight construction means it often stays on top of soft dunes where heavier rivals tend to sink, making it a favorite for local desert driving.

Running Costs & Resale

With a fuel consumption rate of approximately 6.8 L/100km, the Jimny is one of the most efficient authentic 4x4s in the UAE. Service intervals are typically every 10,000 km to 15,000 km, and Suzuki's massive authorized network ensures easy parts availability from Abu Dhabi to Muscat. Historically, the Jimny has one of the lowest depreciation rates in the GCC, often retaining over 85% of its value after the first three years of ownership.

Performance & Capability

The 1.5-litre K15B engine is tuned for torque and durability rather than top speed, producing 102 hp and 130 Nm. The ALLGRIP PRO 4WD system features a dedicated low-range transfer lever, providing mechanical assurance that electronic systems cannot match in deep sand. With a 36-degree approach angle and a 47-degree departure angle, it is purpose-built for the steep terrain found in the Hajar Mountains.

Comfort & Cabin

The 5-door cabin comfortably seats four adults, with the longer wheelbase providing much-needed legroom for rear passengers. The air conditioning is specifically engineered for high-ambient temperatures, ensuring the cabin stays cool even during mid-summer GCC drives. Practicality is a major focus, featuring durable materials that are easy to clean after a day at the beach or in the desert, alongside 211 liters of boot space with the seats upright.

Safety

Standard safety features on this GCC-spec GL include dual front airbags, Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), and Hill Hold Control to prevent rolling back on steep dunes. It also features ISOFIX child seat anchors and a high-rigidity ladder frame construction for enhanced impact protection. The inclusion of Brake LSD Traction Control helps manage wheel spin on slippery or sandy surfaces, ensuring steady progress off-road.

The bottom line

Perfect for the enthusiast who wants a brand-new, iconic 4x4 with the added practicality of five doors and the peace of mind of a GCC-spec vehicle. This is an investment in both adventure and excellent resale value in the local market.
