Built on the new AMG.EA platform, the four-door performance car brings Formula 1-inspired battery technology, three axial flux motors and ultra-fast charging to the luxury EV segment.

For UAE buyers, the new AMG GT 4-Door Coupé is expected to appeal to drivers who want supercar-level performance with the comfort of a grand tourer. It will be offered in two versions: the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 4-Door Coupé and the Mercedes-AMG GT 55 4-Door Coupé.

Which Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé Models Have Been Revealed?

Mercedes-AMG has revealed two versions of the new all-electric GT 4-Door Coupé. Both models use three axial flux motors, a 106kWh battery, 800-volt charging tech and fully variable AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive.

The models revealed are:

• Mercedes-AMG GT 63 4-Door Coupé
• Mercedes-AMG GT 55 4-Door Coupé

The AMG GT 63 is the more powerful version, producing up to 860kW, or 1,169hp, and 2,000Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 2.1 seconds with 1-foot rollout and offers a WLTP range of up to 696km.

The AMG GT 55 produces 600kW, or 816hp, and 1,800Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 2.5 seconds with 1-foot rollout and offers a WLTP range of up to 700km.

How Powerful Is The New AMG GT 4-Door Coupé?

The new Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé has been built to deliver extreme electric performance while keeping the character of an AMG. The GT 63 produces the highest output, while the GT 55 offers a slightly softer but still very quick setup.

What Battery And Charging Technology Does It Use?

The new AMG GT 4-Door Coupé uses a 106kWh net battery with a high-voltage 800-volt system. The battery uses directly cooled cylindrical cells, designed to keep performance stable even during repeated hard acceleration or track use.

Mercedes-AMG says the car can recharge from 10 to 80 per cent in around 11 minutes when connected to a suitable high-power charging infrastructure.

Charging and range highlights include:

• Up to 600kW DC charging
• Around 460km of WLTP range added in 10 minutes
• 70kWh added in 10 minutes
• 41kWh added in 5 minutes
• Up to 696km WLTP range for the AMG GT 63

While 600kW chargers are not yet common, the system shows that the car is built for future charging networks, including markets such as the UAE, where EV infrastructure is expanding.

How Does It Keep The AMG Driving Feel?

Although the new GT 4-Door Coupé is electric, Mercedes-AMG has worked to keep the emotional feel linked to AMG models. A key feature is AMGFORCE S+, which gives the car a V8-style sound and feel.

What Is New About The Design And Interior?

The new AMG GT 4-Door Coupé has a low, wide and athletic design. Mercedes-AMG says the new model is 4cm lower than its predecessor, even with a battery placed in the underbody.

On the outside, it gets a long bonnet, wide rear shoulders, flush door handles, star-shaped light signatures and an optional illuminated AMG grille. The active rear diffuser also gives the car a strong performance look when deployed.

Inside, the cabin mixes sports car and grand tourer elements. The driver gets a 10.2-inch instrument cluster and a 14-inch multimedia display. A 14-inch passenger display is also available.

When Will Production Begin?

Production of the new Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé will begin in summer 2026 at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Sindelfingen, Germany. The axial flux motors will be built at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Berlin-Marienfelde.

Mercedes-AMG has not yet confirmed UAE pricing or local launch timing. However, given the UAE’s strong demand for AMG models, luxury EVs and high-performance cars, the new GT 4-Door Coupé could become one of the most important electric AMG models for the region.
