2027 Porsche Taycan Revealed: Discontinues Sport Turismo, Cross Turismo Wagons

Porsche has updated the Taycan for the 2027 model year with a stronger focus on driver feel, track performance, range and cabin tech. The headline feature is a new E-Shift system that simulates gear changes in the electric sports car.

When paired with the Performance Battery Plus, the Taycan sedan can offer up to 700km of WLTP range. Porsche says the tyres can improve range by up to 20km. The Taycan Sport Turismo is rated at up to 671km WLTP with the same package.

This is an important update for buyers in the UAE, where long-distance driving between emirates is common. A higher claimed range also helps reduce charging stops on routes such as Dubai to Abu Dhabi, Dubai to Al Ain or Dubai to Fujairah.

Taycan Turbo GT Gets Manthey Kit

For those who care more about lap times than range, Porsche has added a Manthey Kit for the Taycan Turbo GT with the Weissach Package.

This is the first time Porsche has offered a Manthey Kit for one of its electric sports cars. It brings aerodynamic, chassis and powertrain changes aimed at improving track performance.

With the Manthey Kit, the Taycan Turbo GT with Weissach Package recorded a 6:55.533-minute lap time around the Nürburgring Nordschleife in the electric executive cars category.

The kit will be available both as a retrofit option and directly from the factory. This makes the Taycan Turbo GT even more serious as an electric track car.

New Infotainment & AI Voice Control

Inside, the 2027 Porsche Taycan gets a new generation of infotainment. Porsche calls it Porsche Digital Interaction.

The system brings a cleaner design, faster responses and more personalisation. The display can show a 3D model of the customer’s Taycan in the same exterior colour as the real car. Drivers can also use configurable widgets for quick access to navigation, media and phone functions.
