Zeekr Opens Redesigned Dubai Showroom & Previews 1,380hp 9X SUV

Zeekr UAE and AWR Automotive have unveiled the brand’s redesigned flagship showroom on Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai. However, the showroom was only the first half of Zeekr’s elaborate event on 9 September 2026.

Following the opening, media representatives and senior leadership from Zeekr and AWR Automotive headed to Atlantis The Royal for a media experience event. Alongside outlining Zeekr’s future plans for the UAE, the brand showcased the Zeekr 9X, a six-seat luxury plug-in hybrid SUV capable of producing up to 1,380hp.

The flagship SUV is expected to be officially launched in the UAE in October 2026. Prices start at AED 369,900, and Zeekr UAE is already accepting pre-bookings for the luxury SUV. This comes less than a month after the Zeekr 7X set a new world record at the Yas Marina Circuit.

The New Zeekr Dubai Showroom

The Sheikh Zayed Road facility originally opened in 2024 as the UAE’s first dedicated Zeekr Space. It initially served as the local home of the Zeekr 001 shooting brake and Zeekr X compact SUV.

Rather than relocating, Zeekr and AWR Automotive have comprehensively redesigned the existing showroom. The updated space adopts a more premium, hospitality-led approach while giving customers a clearer way to explore electric mobility.

Product specialists are available to advise buyers on the Zeekr range, charging, vehicle technology, performance, test drives and after-sales support. Interactive touchscreen displays allow visitors to explore configurations and place orders directly.

The facility also features two AC charging points and two dedicated vehicle-delivery bays. The latter should make collecting a new Zeekr feel considerably more ceremonial than being handed a key fob beside the reception desk.

What Is The Zeekr Lounge?

A central element of the redesigned showroom is the Zeekr Lounge, which has been created for customer consultations, owner gatherings and events.

The area combines seating and hospitality with homeware and décor supplied through Maison 7, AWR Group’s luxury lifestyle brand. It is designed to make the showroom feel less transactional while giving owners and potential customers somewhere to spend time with the brand before or after a consultation or test drive.

The showroom will also host future product introductions and community events as Zeekr expands its UAE line-up.

Which Zeekr Models Are Available In The UAE?

Zeekr’s current UAE range includes the compact Zeekr X, the Zeekr 001 shooting brake and the Zeekr 7X SUV. The electric Zeekr 009 luxury MPV is also joining the range soon, while the Zeekr 8X is listed as arriving soon.

Sitting above all of them is the Zeekr 9X. The newcomer is more than 5.2 metres long, has a wheelbase of almost 3.2 metres and accommodates six people across three rows. It is the brand’s first plug-in hybrid and the flagship of its range.

How Much Does The Zeekr 9X Cost In The UAE?

Three Zeekr 9X variants are currently listed for the UAE:

• Zeekr 9X Ultra: AED 369,900
• Zeekr 9X Hyper: AED 409,900
• Zeekr 9X Obsidian: AED 439,900

Pre-bookings are open through the Zeekr UAE website. Customer deliveries are expected to commence after the SUV’s official UAE launch in October 2026.

The Ultra is listed with dual-motor all-wheel drive, 22-inch forged alloy wheels, one year of premium connectivity, and a home charger included in the price. 

The Hyper & Obsidian trims upgrade to the tri-motor powertrain, add Zero Gravity seats, active suspension, and more.

How Powerful Is The Zeekr 9X?

The UAE-spec Zeekr 9X Ultra produces 885hp from its two electric motors and accelerates from 0–100km/h in 4.2 seconds. Its quoted cruising range stands at 1,250km.

Things become considerably more serious with the Hyper and Obsidian. Both produce a claimed 1,380hp and complete the 0–100km/h sprint in just 3.1 seconds. Zeekr quotes a cruising range of 1,165km for these two variants.

That is acceleration worthy of a serious supercar, delivered by a three-row SUV weighing close to three tonnes. Physics may object, but 1,380hp tends to dominate.

The 9X is based on Zeekr’s SEA-S architecture and combines a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine with electric propulsion. 

What Battery And Charging Technology Does It Use?

Globally, Zeekr offers the 9X with 55kWh and 70kWh battery packs. The larger unit is exceptionally substantial by plug-in hybrid standards and provides up to 380km of electric range under China’s CLTC test cycle. The 55kWh battery is rated at up to 300km under the same standard.

Its 900V electrical architecture supports 6C ultra-fast charging. Zeekr claims the battery can be charged from 20 to 80 percent in around nine minutes when connected to a sufficiently powerful charger.

UAE-specific electric range and charging figures are expected to be detailed when the 9X is officially launched.

What Features Does The Zeekr 9X Offer?

The Zeekr 9X is designed as a luxury SUV with individual seats across all three rows, with the second-row captain’s chairs offering a zero-gravity position, extensive recline adjustment, and a 22-point massage function.

Selected specifications also offer second-row seats capable of rotating 180 degrees to face the third row. How’s that for a quick meeting space? A nine-litre refrigerated and heated compartment sits between the seats.

Dashboard technology includes a 16-inch 3.5K OLED display and a 47-inch augmented-reality head-up display. A sliding 17-inch 3K OLED entertainment screen can travel up to 880mm along the roof, allowing it to serve passengers in either the second or third row.

A Naim audio system features 32 speakers and a quoted peak output of 3,868W. The cabin also uses 11 pieces of laminated acoustic glass and active noise cancellation to reduce wind and road noise.

Practicality has not been ignored. Zeekr quotes up to 2,148 litres of cargo capacity with the third row folded, while the split electric tailgate’s lower section can support up to 300kg.

What Does The Zeekr 9X Mean For The Brand In The UAE?

The 9X moves Zeekr into a different part of the UAE luxury market. The brand’s existing models compete primarily in the premium EV space, whereas its new flagship brings a petrol engine, a large battery and an extended driving range into the equation.

This allows Zeekr to target buyers who want strong electric performance and substantial EV-only capability without relying entirely on public charging during longer journeys. It also gives the brand a direct rival to the growing number of large Chinese luxury plug-in hybrid SUVs entering the Emirates.

The redesigned showroom makes sense because Zeekr’s UAE operation has evolved considerably since the original space opened in 2024. The range now extends beyond the 001 and X, while upcoming models such as the 009, 8X and 9X demand a retail environment capable of selling luxury and opulence as convincingly as it explains charging speeds.

The Zeekr 9X is undoubtedly the bigger headline. A starting price of AED 369,900 puts it deep into established luxury-SUV territory, but 885hp in the entry variant, and 1,380hp in the top two, gives it an extraordinary spec sheet.
