Brabus Rocket 900. One serious luxury sedan!

Three days of motoring madness has already passed since the Dubai International Motor Show started, with lots more to come over the next couple of weeks. With tons of unveilings, new concepts and tuned machines on show. There is one car in particular at the show that really catches your attention for a number of reasons at the Brabus stand and its never been seen before, until now.

This is what we are talking about, the Brabus 900 Rocket and that is a literal term used for the car as it is an absolute monster. It’s packed with a V12 motor 6.3-litre petrol engine with a twin-turbo attached to pump out an enormous 900 horsepower and 1,500 Nm of torque. That’s insane for a luxury sedan, but wait! There’s more, it can run 0-200 km/h in just 9.1 seconds and can reach a top speed of 350 km/h an hour! I need to sit down after all this!

Outside, it’s coated with sleek matte gold or “Desert Gold” as the company dubs it. A perfect colour for the region, its fitted with loads of light weight carbon fibre bits for extra aero benefits. New front end has been fitted too, and just look at the blacked out grille, how menacing does that look. Brabus logos light up when the car is unlocked via the keyless-entry remote or simply when the door handles are touched.

Brabus decided to leave the new rear carbon fibre end completely exposed for all to see and underneath are Brabus signature tailor made dual sports exhaust system. Tips of the exhaust are finished in a clean coat of black paint. Brabus have added 21-inch “Platinum Edition” rims with gold pin striping. It seems they went all out with the colour and it looks really good.

Inside, gold continues only as trim around the cabin, perfectly complementing black leather on all four seats. As in any luxury sedan, rear passengers are the focal point with foldaway tables, rear entertainment facilities, pillows attached to the headrests, adjustable and cooled seats for ultimate comfort. The driver and front passenger are not left out with two 12″ monitors, one for navigation, media and Bluetooth options and the other for all the instruments. These two can enjoy massaging and cooling properties as well. Burmester’s sound premium sound system has been retained and instead of shiny silver speakers, they are now gold to follow in suit of the trim and exterior. Even the paddle shifters behind the wheel and pedals are coated with gold paint.

If you’re dying to know what’s underneath all this gold, it’s a Mercedes-Benz S65 sedan, standard models have the same v12 engine but only generates 621 horsepower. Still a lot, however it’s not 900hp.

If you’re interested in purchasing, an exact release date is yet to be confirmed, give your local Brabus dealer a ring and you can check availability, as a word went around saying quite a few are sold. If 900 horsepower is a bit too much for your liking you can browse all new Mercedes-Benz S65 and used Mercedes-Benz S65 vehicles for sale in Dubai, and Sharjah.
