In The News: Prince William poses with the Dubai Police Aston Martin Vantage

Prince William dropped into the UAE for a whirlwind visit – in 24 hours alone, he visited the Jubail Mangroves, the Jebel Ali Port and Expo 2020 Dubai, before getting a royal offer to get a sneaky-peek at one of the most prized vehicles in the Dubai Police supercar fleet.

At the Jubail Mangroves, he planted saplings with kids from UAE schools, he visited Jebel Ali where he commented on the vast scale of the international port and he visited Expo 2020 Dubai to celebrate UK National Day and delivered a speech on sustainability, collaboration and innovation.

In a short social update, the Prince thanked the UAE for “a wonderful day,” before adding a brief sidenote in a sub-Tweet. Posing with a smile next to a supercar from the Dubai Police fleet, he added the caption, ‘And also to see this police car…! ???’

And what a police car! The Prince was impressed by a recent addition to the already famous Dubai Police supercar fleet. The Aston Martin Vantage is used in James Bond movies and has become the pride of place next to a fleet which includes a Ferrari, some McClarens, a Bugatti Veyron… The list goes on.

Eagle-eyed fans will notice the vehicle comes with the number ‘77’ number plate. Lower number plates are coveted and pricey items in the UAE and this particular plate is reportedly a reference to 7 emirates in the UAE and a nod to 007, James Bond himself.
