Lexus has introduced a new model to the RX SUV line-up. In 2022, the Japanese luxury car brand unveiled the fifth-generation RX SUV to the world. RX 450h+ Availability & Pricing
The Lexus RX 450h+ plug-in hybrid SUV is currently launched in the USA and is priced at $70,080, which translates to over AED 250,000 as of August 2023. The SUV will go on sale in America, later this year. However, owing to the popularity of Lexus models in the UAE, we expect the RX 450h+ to arrive in the Middle Eastern market soon after.
RX 450h+ Powertrain & Performance
Lexus has introduced the new powertrain on the RX 450h+ to plug the gap between the existing RX350h and RX500h F Sport Performance trims. The RX 450h+ and the plug-in hybrid NX share a similar PHEV setup, featuring a 2.5-litre inline-four-cylinder petrol engine. As for the electric setup, the SUV uses two electric motors connected to an 18.1kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The engine and electric powertrain together produce a peak output of 304hp. The power is sent to all four wheels all the time.

The RX 450h+ features an all-electric range of 56km on a single battery charge. The hybrid SUV is offered with a Level 1 charging cable designed for use with 120V outlets. RX 450h+ Exterior Design
The exterior design of the RX 450h+ remains identical to other trims in the model’s line-up. It continues to feature the large radiator grille up front finished in black to compliment the RX’s SUV looks. The side profile continues to feature the sloping roofline effect to give it more panache. But the best feature of the RX is its lighting. The sleek-looking headlamp and the taillamps look wicked. Another attention-grabbing feature is its 21-inch 20-spoke alloy wheels.
The RX 450h+ is offered in eight exterior colour options: Eminent White Pearl, Cloudburst Gray, Iridium, Caviar, Matador Red Mica, Copper Crest, Nori Green Pearl and Nightfall Mica.
RX 450h+ Interior Design
The interior of the RX 450h+ continues its meticulously Japanese design. The dashboard, instrument cluster and Head-Up Display are driver-oriented and easy to reach. The plug-in hybrid SUV features a semi-aniline leather-trimmed interior with perforations, and power seats for the driver and all passengers that are both heated and ventilated.
