New 2024 Maserati GranTurismo Launched In The UAE: The Italian Coupe Is Back After 5 Years

Maserati UAE, in association with Al Tayer Motors, has recently launched the 2024 GranTurismo. This Italian sports coupe makes a comeback to production after a hiatus of 5 years since 2019. The GT is now available in two variants: Modena and Trofeo. Bookings for the new model are currently being accepted on Al Tayer’s website.

Pricing

The GranTurismo Modena serves as the base model, priced at AED 689,000. On the other hand, the top-spec Trofeo is available at varying prices, ranging from AED 819,000 to AED 979,000, depending on the chosen colour scheme and optional features.

Engine and Performance

Both the Modena and the Trofeo use the same powertrain: a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 petrol engine paired with an 8-speed ZF AT.

Modena Specs

  • Max Power: 483hp
  • Peak Torque: 600Nm
  • Acceleration [0 to 100km/h]: 3.9 seconds
  • Top Speed: 302km/h

Trofeo Specs

  • Max Power: 542hp
  • Peak Torque: 650Nm
  • Acceleration [0 to 100km/h]: 3.5 seconds
  • Top Speed: 320km/h

Exterior Design

The GranTurismo coupe boasts a classic, sleek look with a low front, long body, and powerful rear. Its design features a massive clamshell hood, relocated hood cutlines, and distinctive vertical lights framing a contoured centre. The iconic Maserati grille sits at ankle height, adorned with vertical slats and a trident badge. With four-wheel configurations, the rear wheels are larger (21 inches) than the front (20 inches).

Interiors & Features

The interior features a 12.2-inch digital gauge cluster borrowed from the MC20. Massive paddle shifters flank the wheel, and there’s a central screen with separate displays for the driver and passenger. Physical buttons are present, including a digital Maserati dashboard clock with added features like a compass, stopwatch, and G-force meter.

Other Features:

  • Standard 19-speaker Sonus Faber sound system
  • The Trofeo model features 3D carbon fibre trim
  • Spacious interior for four adults
  • The cargo area includes pass-through for skis

Maserati, not historically tech-focused, is addressing this with the GranTurismo. It now features SAE Level 2 driver assistance systems, including lane-centering and adaptive cruise control.
