Geely Unveils Galaxy A7 EM-i PHEV With Impressive 2,100 KM Range

Geely has raised the bar in the hybrid car market by introducing the Galaxy A7 EM-i PHEV. This new plug-in hybrid sedan not only offers an impressive range of over 2,100 km, but it also combines style and practicality for today’s drivers. With its advanced technology and striking design, the Galaxy A7 EM-i is set to turn heads and change the way we think about long-distance driving.

Advanced Hybrid Powertrain

At the core of the Galaxy A7 EM-i is the advanced NordThor EM-i hybrid system. It combines a 1.5-litre petrol engine producing 82kW (110hp) with an electric motor and a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery. 

Drivers can choose between two battery options, offering an electric-only range of either 60km or 130km. This makes the sedan ideal for both city driving and longer trips. The claimed fuel efficiency figure is just over 50km/l when using the petrol engine alone, making it very efficient. 

Sleek Design & Modern Features

The Galaxy A7 EM-i has a sleek fastback shape with a wide LED light bar at the front and angular headlamps. A full-width taillight enhances its modern appearance. Inside, the cabin features a large digital instrument cluster and a floating centre infotainment display. Physical controls for media and air conditioning are built into the centre console, combining modern tech with ease of use.

Spacious & Affordable

The car measures 4,918 mm in length, 1,905 mm in width, and 1,495 mm in height. It features a wheelbase of 2,845 mm, providing ample space for passengers and luggage. The estimated starting price is around 100,000 yuan (AED 51,060), making it a competitive choice in the Chinese hybrid segment. We expect it to be significantly more expensive when launched in the UAE, positioned above the likes of the Geely Preface. The Galaxy A7 EM-i will compete with other models like the BYD Seal DM-i launched recently in the UAE.
