Mercedes Benz S350 AMG

Highlights

• 90-litre fuel tank standard
• 272 hp from a 3.5L V6

Summary

This 2007 S350 features the highly desirable AMG styling package, offering the aggressive aesthetic of a performance flagship with the efficiency of a six-cylinder engine. With just 92,000 km, its mileage is exceptionally low for a luxury sedan of this age, suggesting a well-preserved life compared to the high-usage examples typically found in the region. The white exterior is the premier choice for the GCC, ensuring better heat management and maximum resale appeal. As a Japanese spec import, it benefits from the meticulous maintenance culture of its home market, offering a level of interior and mechanical preservation that rivals much newer models. This is the ideal entry point for a buyer seeking S-Class presence and air-ride comfort without the higher running costs of a V8 or V12.

This Car vs Other 2007 S350s

While average annual mileage in the GCC often exceeds 20,000 km, this example has covered less than 6,000 km per year. Its white finish is the most sought-after color in the local market, providing a significant advantage in both cooling efficiency and long-term value retention compared to darker shades.

AMG vs Lower Trims

The AMG trim adds a muscular body kit, deeper front and rear bumpers, and unique side skirts that distinguish it from the base S350. Inside, you typically find upgraded leather and high-gloss wood trim, along with the Airmatic suspension that allows the driver to toggle between comfort and firm sport settings.

S350 vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the BMW 7 Series and Lexus LS of the same era, the S-Class leads in cabin isolation and ride quality thanks to its sophisticated air suspension system. Its 90-litre fuel tank is specifically beneficial for long-distance cruising across the Emirates, offering a range that few six-cylinder rivals can match.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 3.5L V6 averages around 10.1L/100km on the highway, though GCC city traffic will see this rise. Service intervals are typically every 15,000 km, and while Mercedes-Benz parts carry a premium, the S350’s V6 is notably less complex to maintain than the larger V8 engines. As a Japanese spec model, buyers should verify the local navigation and radio frequency compatibility, though mechanical parts remain widely available across the extensive UAE authorized service network.

Performance & Capability

The 272 hp V6 engine provides smooth, linear acceleration, reaching 100 km/h in a respectable 7.3 seconds. Mated to the 7G-TRONIC automatic transmission, it excels at high-speed highway overtaking while maintaining a refined, quiet cabin environment. The rear-wheel-drive layout and adaptive damping system ensure the car remains stable and composed during cross-border drives at sustained speeds.

Comfort & Cabin

The S-Class interior was designed to be a benchmark, featuring an expansive digital instrument cluster and a center COMAND screen. Dual-zone climate control with powerful cooling is standard, essential for the GCC summer, while the acoustic glass helps insulate the cabin from external heat and road noise. The generous 560-litre boot provides ample space for family road trips between emirates.

Safety

This S350 is equipped with the pioneering Pre-Safe system, which prepares the cabin for a collision by tightening belts and closing windows. Standard safety features include multiple airbags, electronic stability control, and bi-xenon headlights with cornering lights, which provide excellent visibility on unlit desert highways.

The bottom line

For the executive buyer who prioritizes the timeless prestige of an S-Class and the visual flair of the AMG package, this low-mileage Japanese spec example represents a rare, well-maintained opportunity.
