• 75-litre fuel tank standard
• Electronic Stability Control standard

Summary

This GCC-spec Chevrolet Caprice LTZ offers a compelling blend of long-distance cruising comfort and rear-wheel-drive dynamics that is rare in today's sedan market. As a high-tier trim, it provides a significantly more refined interior experience compared to the base LS, making it a favorite for regional highway travel. The white exterior is the most sought-after color for resale in the Middle East, offering the best heat reflection and value retention. While the mileage reflects a lifetime of consistent use, the Caprice is engineered for these exact long-range GCC conditions. It remains a standout choice for those seeking a full-sized, comfortable American-style sedan with a proven service network across the UAE and beyond.

This Car vs Other 2009 Caprices

With 368,000 km, this vehicle has been driven more than the typical GCC annual average of 25,000 km, yet this often indicates a car used primarily for long-distance highway commutes rather than taxing city traffic. The white exterior provides a significant advantage for resale and temperature management in the region compared to darker alternatives. It represents a practical entry point into a full-sized sedan segment that has largely moved toward smaller, less durable platforms.

LTZ vs Lower Trims

The LTZ trim adds essential luxury features that GCC buyers prioritize, including leather-appointed seating and enhanced wood-grain interior accents not found on the base LS. It also features upgraded alloy wheels and dual-zone climate control, which is vital for maintaining passenger comfort during peak summer months. Unlike the entry-level models, the LTZ was designed to bridge the gap between daily commuter and executive transport.

Caprice vs Segment Rivals

Compared to rivals like the Ford Crown Victoria and Toyota Avalon, the Caprice stands out for its Australian-developed Zeta chassis, offering more engaging rear-wheel-drive handling. Its 75-litre fuel tank is specifically suited for long-distance trips between emirates, providing a touring range that many modern competitors cannot match. The interior volume, particularly rear legroom, remains one of the largest in its class.

Running Costs & Resale

The 3.6L V6 offers a more balanced fuel consumption profile for GCC city driving compared to the larger V8 variants, typically averaging 11.1 L/100km on combined cycles. Maintenance is straightforward due to the extensive Chevrolet authorized service network and the wide availability of affordable spare parts across the UAE and KSA. While American sedans face higher depreciation than Japanese rivals, the LTZ trim in white holds its value better than lower-spec or unusually colored models.

Performance & Capability

The naturally aspirated V6 delivers a reliable 240 hp, providing smooth acceleration for highway overtaking and maintaining high speeds with ease. The rear-wheel-drive configuration and long wheelbase ensure excellent stability during cross-country drives, even when fully loaded with five passengers. For GCC owners, the primary performance benefit is the heavy-duty cooling system designed to handle high ambient temperatures without power loss.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is focused on spaciousness, featuring wide, supportive seats and a powerful air conditioning system that is legendary for its effectiveness in desert heat. LTZ models include premium touches such as power-adjustable seating and high-quality insulation that reduces road noise during high-speed cruising. Rear seat passengers benefit from dedicated cooling vents and ample headroom, making it a legitimate family or executive vehicle.

Safety

This LTZ comes equipped with essential safety systems for regional driving, including Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Traction Control to maintain grip on sandy or oil-slicked road surfaces. It features a suite of airbags including dual-stage front and side-curtain protection, along with Anti-lock Braking (ABS) and Brake Assist. These features were class-leading for the 2009 model year, providing peace of mind during fast-moving highway traffic.

The bottom line

For the buyer seeking a spacious, GCC-proven sedan with premium LTZ features, this listing offers a durable and comfortable cruiser that is perfectly adapted to life in the Emirates.
