Summary

This Infiniti QX80 is a standout choice for those seeking the ultimate blend of Nissan Patrol-derived durability and premium refinement. As a Luxury trim, it offers the enhanced comfort features that GCC drivers value, from superior cabin materials to a powerful V8 that makes long desert highway drives effortless. Its high mileage is typical for a 2014 family SUV in the region, reflecting its reliability on long commutes between emirates. The white exterior is the most sought-after color in the local market, ensuring it stays cooler in the summer sun and maintains strong resale appeal. For a large family needing seven seats and serious towing power, this QX80 provides significant presence and capability without the premium price of a Lexus.

This Car vs Other 2014 QX80s

With 181,000 km, this vehicle has been driven approximately 18,000 km per year, which is below the 20,000–25,000 km GCC average for large family SUVs. Being an American spec vehicle in a white exterior, it offers a high level of equipment for the price point while benefiting from the highest resale color demand in the UAE market.

LUXURY vs Lower Trims

The Luxury trim provides significant upgrades over the standard model, including the Around View monitor with Moving Object Detection and the 13-speaker Bose Premium audio system. It also features standard navigation and enhanced interior wood trim, providing the high-end cabin experience that GCC buyers expect from the Infiniti brand.

QX80 vs Segment Rivals

The QX80 competes directly with the Lexus LX 570 and the Cadillac Escalade, leading with a more generous 3,855 kg towing capacity and a chassis shared with the legendary Nissan Patrol. Its 5.6L V8 provides a smoother, more road-biased power delivery than the LX, while offering more consistent reliability than its American rivals in extreme heat.

Running Costs & Resale

Fuel consumption is typical for a large V8, averaging roughly 14.8L/100km, making it better suited for highway cruising than stop-start city traffic. Parts are widely available across the GCC due to its mechanical similarity to the Nissan Patrol, and the authorized service network is extensive in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. While it depreciates slightly faster than a Lexus LX, it represents much better initial value for the features provided.

Performance & Capability

The 400 hp V8 allows for a 0–100 km/h time of approximately 7.3 seconds, providing ample power for overtaking on fast-moving UAE motorways. Its body-on-frame construction and All Wheel Drive system make it exceptionally durable for weekend desert excursions or long-distance family trips across borders. The standard hill-start assist and massive 560 Nm of torque ensure it handles heavy loads and steep inclines with ease.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, you'll find seven seats arranged for maximum family comfort, with powerful multi-zone climate control designed to handle 45°C summer temperatures effectively. The cabin is exceptionally quiet, shielded by thick acoustic glass, and features a sunroof and standard leather seating. The Around View 360-degree camera is a critical tool for navigating large SUV dimensions in tight city parking structures.

Safety

Standard safety features include a comprehensive airbag suite covering all three rows, vehicle dynamic control, and traction control for stability on sand and gravel. The Luxury trim adds the Around View monitor for better visibility, while the high-stiffness frame structure provides a robust safety cell for all seven passengers during long-distance highway travel.

The bottom line

This QX80 is the ideal match for a buyer who wants Nissan Patrol-level reliability with a more sophisticated cabin, offering a high-spec family workhorse at a competitive price.
