Nissan Armada LE First owner, two original keys

Highlights

• 4,082 kg maximum braked towing capacity
• Naturally aspirated 5.6L V8 engine
• Extensive GCC authorised service network

Summary

This 2014 Nissan Armada LE is a quintessential full-size family workhorse, perfectly suited for the long-distance highway travel and large-family logistics typical of the GCC. With its robust V8 engine and genuine eight-seat capacity, it offers a level of durability and space that modern crossovers rarely match. The white exterior is the most practical choice for the region, reflecting heat efficiently and maintaining the strongest resale demand in the UAE and Saudi markets. While the mileage reflects its role as a reliable long-hauler, the body-on-frame construction ensures it remains mechanically prepared for many more years of service. It stands out as a high-value alternative to more expensive rivals, offering proven Japanese reliability and a cooling system built for the desert summer.

This Car vs Other 2014 Armadas

At 170,000 km, this vehicle sits at an average mileage for a decade-old SUV in the GCC, where annual highway use often exceeds 20,000 km. Its white exterior remains the top-performing color for local resale, ensuring it stays liquid in the used market. Being a GCC-spec model, it features the factory-upgraded cooling systems and air conditioning units essential for maintaining performance during peak summer temperatures.

LE vs Lower Trims

The LE trim is the premium choice, adding significant comfort upgrades over the base SE, such as a rearview camera and high-grade leather-appointed seating that handles the local climate better than entry-level fabrics. It also includes 20-inch aluminum-alloy wheels and wood-grain interior accents, providing a more executive feel. Crucially for GCC families, the LE often features an upgraded Bose sound system and power-operated liftgate, making daily errands in the heat significantly more convenient.

Armada vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Chevrolet Tahoe or Ford Expedition of the same era, the Armada is often preferred for its mechanical simplicity and the widespread availability of parts across the entire GCC. While rivals may offer more complex infotainment, the Armada’s massive 105-litre fuel tank provides a superior cruising range for cross-emirate drives. Its naturally aspirated V8 is widely respected by local mechanics, ensuring lower long-term specialized maintenance costs compared to turbocharged competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Expect real-world fuel consumption of approximately 17.3 L/100km in city traffic and 11.4 L/100km on the highway, reflecting the power demands of a full-size V8. Nissan’s authorized service network is one of the densest in the region, with centers easily accessible from Dubai to Muscat. The Armada typically depreciates at a stable rate of 8-10% annually in the GCC, benefitting from a loyal buyer base that values the platform's longevity and ruggedness.

Performance & Capability

The 5.6-litre Endurance V8 produces a verified 317 hp and 385 lb-ft of torque, providing effortless overtaking power on high-speed desert roads. Its heavy-duty, fully boxed ladder frame allows for a massive 4,082 kg towing capacity, making it ideal for hauling boats or trailers. The All-Mode 4WD system includes a dedicated low-range transfer case, ensuring it is as capable on soft sand as it is stable on the highway.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a true eight-seater with a versatile layout that offers up to 2,749 litres of total cargo space with the rear rows folded. A high-output multi-zone climate control system with dedicated rear vents ensures all three rows stay cool even when exterior temperatures exceed 45°C. Quiet cabin insulation and wide, supportive seats make it a top choice for long family road trips across the borders of the UAE, Oman, and Saudi Arabia.

Safety

Standard safety equipment includes a comprehensive six-airbag system, vehicle dynamic control, and traction control for stability on varied surfaces. The LE trim's rearview camera is essential for navigating tight parking in major cities, while the anti-lock braking system with electronic brakeforce distribution provides confident stopping power for a vehicle of this size. Rear proximity sensors add an extra layer of protection during low-speed maneuvering.

The bottom line

This Armada is the perfect match for a large family looking for a durable, GCC-spec V8 cruiser that balances off-road capability with proven long-term reliability.
