Summary

This 11-year-old Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG represents one of the most stable investments in the GCC luxury market, particularly in its classic white exterior which remains the region's preferred choice for resale. With 140,000 km, the mileage is well within the expected range for a high-performance SUV used for routine highway commutes between emirates. Unlike many modern rivals that have moved to smaller displacement engines, this 2015 model features the legendary 5.5-litre V8, offering a visceral mechanical character and a side-exit exhaust note that is highly sought after by local enthusiasts. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it is purpose-built to handle the intense summer temperatures with upgraded cooling systems not found on American or European imports. This is a rare opportunity to own a hand-assembled icon that bridges the gap between rugged utility and high-fashion luxury.

This Car vs Other 2015 G63 AMGs

At 140,000 km, this vehicle has covered approximately 12,700 km per year, which is significantly below the GCC average of 20,000–25,000 km. While many G-Wagons of this era show higher wear from extensive desert use, this example’s white-on-black configuration makes it a prime candidate for holding its value. In the local market, GCC-spec G63s command a premium over global imports due to their verified agency history and superior AC performance.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

The G63 AMG is the top-tier performance variant, adding the hand-built M157 biturbo engine over the G500's standard V8. This trim includes the aggressive AMG body styling, 20-inch wheels, and the distinctive side-pipe exhaust system as standard equipment. Inside, you benefit from the Designo leather interior and the premium Harman Kardon Logic 7 surround sound system, which were optional extras on the base G-Class.

G63 AMG vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Range Rover Autobiography, the G63 offers a more durable body-on-frame construction and a unique triple-locking differential system for genuine off-road superiority. While the Porsche Cayenne Turbo focuses on track handling, the G63 provides a commanding upright driving position and significantly higher ground clearance for weekend desert excursions. Its 96-litre fuel tank also provides a superior cruising range for long-distance travel across the Saudi or Omani borders.

Running Costs & Resale

The G63 AMG is famous for its robust value retention in the UAE, typically depreciating at a slower rate than its European luxury counterparts. Fuel consumption averages roughly 13.8 L/100km on the highway, though this will increase in stop-start city traffic in Dubai or Riyadh. Service centers for Mercedes-Benz are exceptionally well-established across all GCC nations, ensuring parts availability remains high even for decade-old models. Regular maintenance intervals are typically set at 15,000 km to ensure the biturbo system remains in peak condition.

Performance & Capability

The 530 hp V8 delivers a 0–100 km/h sprint in just 5.4 seconds, an incredible feat for a vehicle with such a rugged aerodynamic profile. It features three independent 100% locking differentials—center, rear, and front—which can be engaged on the fly to tackle soft sand dunes or steep mountain terrain. The 7G-TRONIC AMG Speedshift transmission provides rapid gear changes, making highway overtaking effortless even when fully loaded with five passengers.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is tailored for the GCC climate, featuring multi-contour ventilated front seats that provide essential cooling during the peak summer months. Rear passengers benefit from dedicated climate zones and high-quality leather seating, while the upright greenhouse provides excellent visibility in all directions. The interior is finished with hand-stitched Nappa leather and carbon fiber accents, maintaining a high-end executive feel despite the vehicle's military heritage.

Safety

Standard safety features include Distronic Plus adaptive cruise control and Blind Spot Assist, which are particularly valuable on fast-moving multi-lane highways like E11. The G63 also features a reinforced ladder-frame chassis, electronic stability program (ESP) tuned for high-center-of-gravity vehicles, and a comprehensive airbag suite. The powerful AMG high-performance braking system ensures reliable stopping power, even in high-heat conditions.

The bottom line

For the buyer seeking a GCC-spec icon with a verified V8 powertrain and the region's most popular resale color, this well-maintained G63 AMG offers the perfect balance of prestige and performance.
