Bentley Continental GT SPEED | GCC Spec | Pristine Condition

Highlights

• Hand-built engine
• 0–100 km/h in 4.1 seconds
• Top speed of 331 km/h

Summary

This GCC-spec grand tourer represents a high-water mark for the second-generation model, pairing the effortless power of its 12-cylinder engine with a refined white exterior that holds strong resale appeal in the UAE. With just 36,038 km, this 10-year-old vehicle has been driven significantly less than the typical 20,000 km annual average for the region, suggesting a well-preserved mechanical life. The GT Speed trim provides a sharper driving experience compared to the standard model, making it a favorite for those who value performance alongside artisan craftsmanship. As one of the last few pure 12-cylinder iterations before the shift toward hybridization, it offers a level of mechanical character that few modern rivals can replicate. For a buyer in the GCC, this low-mileage example provides the ideal balance of prestige and long-distance touring capability.

This Car vs Other 2016 Continentals

While many examples of this era in the GCC have surpassed the 150,000 km mark due to routine long-distance commuting between emirates, this vehicle's mileage is exceptionally low for a 10-year-old car. The white exterior is the most desirable color for the local used market, ensuring faster turnover and better value retention than more niche shades. Its status as a GCC-spec vehicle further cements its value, as it was built to withstand extreme summer temperatures without the cooling or warranty complications often found in imported units.

GT SPEED vs Lower Trims

The GT Speed sits at the top of the performance hierarchy, adding a significant power boost and a lowered, stiffened sports suspension over the standard GT. It features a dark-tinted matrix grille, 'Speed' branded treadplates, and a unique interior color split that includes diamond-quilted leather as standard. These upgrades, along with the uprated engine software, provide a more urgent throttle response and improved high-speed stability that is particularly noticeable on the UAE's fast-moving highways.

Continental vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Aston Martin DB11 or the Mercedes-AMG S63 Coupe, the Bentley offers a more substantial, vault-like cabin and superior insulation from road noise during long desert drives. Its W12 configuration provides a smoother power delivery than the V8s found in many rivals, making it the preferred choice for cross-border trips where effortless torque is paramount. The massive 90-liter fuel tank also gives it a range advantage, reducing the need for frequent stops on trans-GCC journeys.

Running Costs & Resale

In GCC stop-start traffic, the large-displacement engine typically consumes around 16.6 L/100km, though this improves significantly during steady highway cruising between cities. Service intervals are generally recommended every 10,000 to 15,000 km, with authorized service centers widely available across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait. While Bentley depreciation is steeper than Japanese luxury brands, the Speed trim and GCC specification help this model retain a higher percentage of its value compared to base European-spec imports.

Performance & Capability

The heart of this machine is the hand-assembled W12 engine, which propels the coupe to a verified top speed of 331 km/h, making it one of the fastest grand tourers of its time. The 0–100 km/h sprint is achieved in just 4.1 seconds, providing the kind of overtaking power that makes short work of fast-moving highway traffic. The 8-speed automatic transmission is specifically calibrated for the Speed trim to deliver faster shifts, ensuring the car feels lighter and more agile than its substantial curb weight would suggest.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the four-seat cabin is a masterclass in traditional luxury, featuring hand-stitched leather and premium wood veneers that are well-insulated from the harsh GCC sun. The dual-zone climate control system is engineered to maintain a cabin temperature of 20°C even when exterior temperatures exceed 45°C. The seats provide extensive adjustment and support for long road trips, while the premium audio system ensures a concert-like experience during quiet highway miles.

Safety

Standard safety features include a comprehensive airbag system and advanced electronic stability control tuned to handle sand or gravel surfaces found near GCC highways. The all-wheel-drive system provides immense mechanical grip in all weather conditions, while powerful ventilated disc brakes ensure consistent stopping power from high speeds. Front and rear parking sensors facilitate easier maneuvering of this large coupe in tight urban environments like Dubai Mall or Riyadh's business districts.

The bottom line

For the enthusiast seeking the definitive 12-cylinder grand touring experience, this low-mileage, GCC-spec GT Speed is a rare find that combines peak performance with the most stable resale profile in the region.
