Summary

This 2016 Lexus LX570 Platinum represents a premier opportunity in the GCC market, featuring a sought-after blue exterior and remarkably low mileage for its age. As a GCC-spec model, it is perfectly adapted for the region’s extreme temperatures and long-distance highway hauls between cities like Dubai and Riyadh. The Platinum trim remains a liquidity benchmark in the used market, offering a superior level of cabin finishing and prestige that rivals often lack. For a buyer seeking the ultimate blend of executive presence and the legendary durability of a body-on-frame SUV, this vehicle stands as a highly reliable and prestigious choice.

This Car vs Other 2016 LX570s

At just 73,500 km, this LX570 has been driven significantly less than the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual average seen in the GCC, making it a standout low-mileage example. The blue exterior is a sophisticated alternative to common silver or white options while maintaining strong resale appeal across the Emirates. This lower usage suggests a well-preserved mechanical life, offering a clear advantage for long-term ownership.

PLATINUM vs Lower Trims

The Platinum trim elevates the LX570 experience with standard features that GCC buyers prioritize, including the 19-speaker Mark Levinson premium surround sound system and semi-aniline leather upholstery. It adds ventilated second-row seats and a 360-degree camera system, both of which are essential for comfort and maneuvering in the region's climate and urban environments. You also benefit from larger 21-inch wheels and specific Platinum-grade interior wood trim.

LX570 vs Segment Rivals

While rivals like the Cadillac Escalade or Range Rover offer high tech, the LX570 leads the segment in long-term durability and regional service support via the extensive Lexus network. Its 5.7L V8 is engineered for high-heat resilience, providing a linear power delivery that is more predictable in desert terrain than turbocharged competitors. The inclusion of a 93-litre main tank ensures superior range for cross-border drives compared to road-biased luxury SUVs.

Running Costs & Resale

Expect a real-world combined fuel consumption of approximately 15.9L/100km, with city figures reaching 20L/100km in heavy GCC traffic. Resale value for the LX570 is among the best in the class, typically depreciating at a much slower rate than European luxury rivals due to its shared mechanical DNA with the Toyota Land Cruiser. Authorized service centers are widely available across every GCC nation, with standard service intervals recommended every 10,000 km or 6 months.

Performance & Capability

The 381 hp V8 provides a smooth 0–100 km/h time of approximately 7.7 seconds, focusing on refined cruising rather than aggressive acceleration. With a verified ground clearance of 226 mm and a sophisticated Multi-Terrain Select system, it is genuinely capable of weekend desert excursions. The 8-speed automatic transmission, introduced for this model year, optimizes highway efficiency and overtaking power during long drives across the Emirates.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary from the GCC heat, featuring a powerful four-zone climate control system and ventilated seats for both front and middle-row passengers. The 8-seat configuration is highly flexible, though the side-folding third row is best suited for children on long trips. Acoustic glass and extensive insulation ensure a library-quiet environment even at high highway speeds, making it an ideal family road-trip vehicle.

Safety

This Platinum trim comes equipped with the Lexus Safety System+, which includes adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and a pre-collision system. For fast-moving GCC highways, the blind-spot monitor and rear cross-traffic alert provide essential situational awareness. The vehicle is protected by a comprehensive 10-airbag system, ensuring high levels of safety for all eight occupants.

The bottom line

This is a rare opportunity to own a low-mileage, GCC-spec LX570 Platinum that offers the perfect balance of luxury and bulletproof reliability for a discerning family or executive buyer.
