• 362 hp from a 3.0-litre biturbo V6
• Top speed of 250 km/h

Summary

This 2016 Mercedes-Benz C450 AMG 4MATIC represents a smart middle ground for enthusiasts, offering significant performance gains over the standard C-Class without the high maintenance overhead of the full-fat C63. With 126,000 km, its mileage is average for a GCC-based car of this age, indicating consistent highway use rather than harsh urban idling. The white exterior is the most sought-after resale color in the region, effectively mitigating the sharper depreciation typical of European sports sedans. As an AMG Sport model, it features a rear-biased all-wheel-drive system that is particularly well-suited for high-speed stability on long UAE highway stretches. This is an ideal choice for a professional seeking a daily commuter that delivers genuine performance credentials for weekend drives.

This Car vs Other 2016 C450 AMGs

At 126,000 km, this vehicle sits comfortably within the expected 20,000–25,000 km annual average for the GCC, suggesting it has been used as a primary commuter rather than a weekend-only car. The white finish is a major advantage in the local market, as it resists heat better and maintains a higher resale value than darker alternatives. Being a GCC-spec model, it bypasses the warranty and parts compatibility issues often found with imported North American or European equivalents.

4MATIC vs Lower Trims

The C450 AMG 4MATIC adds substantial mechanical upgrades over the C300, most notably the biturbo V6 engine and a performance-tuned 4MATIC system with a fixed 33:67 front-to-rear power split. Inside, this trim typically upgrades the experience with AMG-specific sport seats, a flat-bottom steering wheel, and red contrast stitching that isn't available on lower models. The addition of the AMG Ride Control sport suspension—sourced directly from the C63—provides vastly superior handling and high-speed composure.

C450 AMG vs Segment Rivals

The C450 AMG competes directly with the Audi S4 and BMW 340i, standing out with its permanent mechanical all-wheel-drive bias and superior cabin materials. Its 66-litre fuel tank provides a generous range for cross-emirate trips, while the Mercedes air conditioning system is widely regarded as being better optimized for the extreme 45°C+ temperatures of the GCC summer. Compared to the Audi S4, the C450 offers a more expressive exhaust note and a more modern interior layout for this model year.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages around 10.2 L/100km in GCC stop-start traffic, though it becomes remarkably efficient on long highway runs between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Authorized service centers are widely available across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, with standard Service A and B intervals occurring every 15,000 km. While European sports sedans generally see 12-15% annual depreciation, the C450 AMG retains its value better than standard trims due to its status as the predecessor to the popular C43 AMG.

Performance & Capability

The biturbo 3.0-litre V6 produces 362 hp and 520 Nm of torque, enabling a verified 0–100 km/h time of 4.9 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h. The 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system ensures the power is usable even on sand-dusted road surfaces or during rare heavy rain. Five selectable drive modes—Eco, Comfort, Sport, Sport Plus, and Individual—allow the driver to instantly recalibrate the steering, throttle response, and suspension for different GCC driving environments.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat cabin features high-grade Artico leather and Dinamica microfiber, designed to stay cooler in the sun than traditional full-leather interiors. The dual-zone climate control system is supplemented by rear air vents, ensuring all passengers remain comfortable during peak summer. Acoustic insulation is excellent, keeping wind noise to a minimum even at maximum highway speeds, while the 480-litre boot provides ample space for family errands or golf kits.

Safety

Standard safety features on this trim include Collision Prevention Assist Plus, which is vital for fast-moving UAE highways, and Blind Spot Assist to help navigate multi-lane traffic. The car is equipped with a comprehensive airbag suite and electronic stability programs specifically tuned to handle the rear-biased power delivery. Adaptive braking technology and ATTENTION ASSIST further enhance safety during long-distance drives across the desert.

The bottom line

This GCC-spec C450 AMG is a high-value entry point into the AMG family, offering the perfect blend of daily reliability and sports car performance in the region's most popular resale color.
