Summary

This 2020 CLA250 AMG is a standout opportunity for GCC buyers seeking a modern luxury coupe aesthetic with practical four-door access. With mileage under 47,000 km, this vehicle has been driven significantly less than the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual average for the UAE, suggesting lower wear on its mechanical components. The crisp white exterior is a premium choice for the local market, offering both superior heat deflection during the summer and strong resale liquidity. As a second-generation model, it features the advanced MBUX infotainment system that rivals often lack, making it a highly competitive choice in the compact luxury segment. This specific listing combines the aesthetic aggression of the AMG Line with the all-weather confidence of all-wheel drive, ideal for high-speed highway stability across the Emirates.

This Car vs Other 2020 CLA250s

While many 2020 models in the GCC market are now approaching the 80,000–100,000 km mark due to long-distance commuting, this example sits at a low 46,845 km. The white exterior is the most sought-after color in the region, ensuring better value retention compared to darker shades that struggle with the intense local sun. Being an American spec, it offers a high standard of equipment, though buyers should note the difference in warranty status compared to local GCC-spec vehicles.

AMG vs Lower Trims

The AMG Line trim elevates the CLA250 with a more aggressive body kit, deeper side skirts, and a signature chrome-pinned diamond grille that gives it a miniature-CLS presence. Inside, it adds the flat-bottomed sport steering wheel and sport pedals that are highly valued by enthusiasts in the UAE. These visual and tactile upgrades, alongside the standard panoramic sunroof, create a significantly more premium cabin atmosphere than the base Progressive trim.

CLA250 vs Segment Rivals

Compared to rivals like the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe and the Audi A3, the CLA250 leads with a generous 460-litre boot that makes it a more viable primary car for small families. Its MBUX interface is widely considered more intuitive for GCC drivers, featuring natural language voice control that handles climate and navigation tasks with ease. The 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system provides a more planted feel during the occasional heavy rain and across the sand-swept highways of the Northern Emirates.

Running Costs & Resale

The 2.0L turbocharged engine is efficient for the segment, averaging approximately 8.7 L/100km in combined driving, which is ideal for the UAE's mix of stop-start city traffic and fast highway cruising. Mercedes-Benz has a massive authorized service presence through Gargash and Emirates Motor Company, ensuring easy access to parts and specialized labor across all seven emirates. While European luxury sedans typically depreciate by 12–18% annually in the GCC, the AMG-spec CLA holds its value better than standard trims due to high demand for its sporty appearance.

Performance & Capability

With a 0–100 km/h time of 6.3 seconds, this sedan offers punchy performance that makes highway overtaking effortless on the E11. The 221 horsepower engine delivers a peak torque of 350 Nm from just 1,800 rpm, providing immediate response when merging into fast-moving traffic. The all-wheel-drive system works seamlessly with the 7-speed dual-clutch transmission to ensure the car remains composed and stable, even at its electronically limited top speed of 210 km/h.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a showcase of modern luxury, dominated by the signature twin-screen cockpit that remains a class leader for design and clarity. Despite its coupe-like roofline, the CLA comfortably seats five, with dual-zone climate control tailored to manage extreme GCC temperatures effectively. The integrated sport seats are finished in premium MB-Tex upholstery, offering a durable and cool-to-the-touch surface that holds up well during long cross-country drives between Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

Safety

Safety is comprehensive, featuring Active Brake Assist and Attention Assist as standard to help mitigate risks during long highway journeys. The 2020 CLA earned a 5-star Euro NCAP rating, supported by a robust airbag system and advanced stability controls that are particularly useful on sand-slicked roads. This trim also includes a high-definition rearview camera and blind-spot monitoring, which are essential for navigating the multi-lane highway systems common in major GCC cities.

The bottom line

This low-mileage AMG-trim CLA250 is the perfect choice for a young professional looking for a stylish, high-tech Mercedes that is still easy to park and efficient to run in the city.
