Summary

This 2016 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG S is a standout performance sedan, featuring the highly sought-after GCC regional specification for optimal local operation. As the 'S' trim, it offers a significant power advantage over the base model, making it a compelling choice for enthusiasts seeking peak W205-generation performance. Its black-on-black color scheme is a timeless favorite in the GCC, ensuring strong resale demand. While the mileage reflects active use across the Emirates, this hand-built V8 remains one of the most mechanically robust performance engines in the region when correctly maintained at authorized centers.

This Car vs Other 2016 C63 AMGs

With 194,000 km, this vehicle has been driven more than the typical 20,000 km annual GCC average, yet its maintenance as a regional spec car ensures it is equipped for the local climate. In the UAE market, black is a high-demand resale color that helps offset the depreciation impact of higher mileage compared to less popular shades. Buyers will find this specific example offers a more accessible entry point into the 'S' performance bracket while maintaining the prestigious GCC status.

S vs Lower Trims

The 'S' trim is a major step up from the base C63, increasing output from 476 hp to 510 hp and torque to a massive 700 Nm. Crucially for GCC drivers, the S adds an electronically controlled rear-axle limited-slip differential and dynamic engine mounts, providing superior stability during high-speed highway overtaking. It also typically features larger composite brakes and specific interior touches like the AMG performance steering wheel in Nappa leather.

C63 AMG vs Segment Rivals

The C63 S competes directly with the BMW M3 and Audi RS4, leading the segment with its larger 4.0L V8 engine compared to their six-cylinder counterparts. Its 66-litre fuel tank provides a respectable cruising range for long-distance drives between Dubai and Abu Dhabi or across the border to Oman. The Mercedes cabin is often cited as the most luxurious in its class, offering a more refined executive feel for daily commuting.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption typically ranges between 13-14L/100km, though GCC stop-start traffic in summer can push these figures higher. Mercedes-Benz has one of the most extensive authorized service networks across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, ensuring parts and specialized technicians are always reachable. While European performance sedans experience higher depreciation than Japanese rivals, the C63 S maintains a dedicated enthusiast following in the GCC that supports steady value for well-kept GCC-spec examples.

Performance & Capability

The headline 4.0-second 0-100 km/h time is achieved via the AMG Speedshift MCT 7-speed transmission, providing rapid gear changes and a visceral launch. The twin-turbo V8 delivers its peak 700 Nm of torque from just 1,750 rpm, offering effortless power for highway merging and high-speed cruising. Multiple drive modes, including a dedicated 'Race' mode exclusive to the S trim, allow the driver to stiffen the suspension and sharpen throttle response for track days at the Dubai Autodrome.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin accommodates five passengers in a sporty yet refined environment, featuring standard dual-zone climate control capable of handling extreme 45°C+ summer temperatures. Front occupants enjoy deeply bolstered AMG sport seats, while the Burmester® premium audio system provides exceptional clarity during long highway trips. High-quality cabin insulation ensures a quiet environment, effectively filtering out heat and wind noise during cross-country drives.

Safety

Standard safety features include Collision Prevention Assist Plus and Blind Spot Assist, which are particularly valuable on the UAE’s fast-moving multi-lane highways. The vehicle is also equipped with Mercedes-Benz’s PRE-SAFE system and multiple airbags to ensure occupant protection. The electronic stability program is specifically tuned to manage the high torque output on both dry tarmac and occasionally sandy road surfaces.

The bottom line

This GCC-spec C63 AMG S is the ideal choice for a buyer who prioritizes the raw power of a V8 sports sedan and the prestige of the 'S' badge at a competitive market price.
