Summary

This GCC-spec F-150 Raptor Super Cab stands as a defining performance truck, engineered for the demanding desert terrain and long-distance highway hauls of the region. Despite being a 9-year-old vehicle, its high-output powertrain and specialized Fox Racing suspension maintain a level of off-road prowess that remains competitive with much newer models. The striking Blue exterior is among the most desirable colors for the Raptor in the UAE market, consistently supporting strong resale demand. For the GCC buyer, this specific listing offers a high-spec entry into the enthusiast truck market with the peace of mind provided by local regional specifications. Its combination of twin-turbocharged power and specialized off-road hardware makes it a versatile daily driver and weekend desert explorer.

This Car vs Other 2017 F-150s

With 191,000 km, this vehicle sits within the average mileage range for a high-performance pickup of this age in the GCC, where 20,000 to 25,000 km per year is common due to frequent inter-emirate highway travel. While standard F-150s from this year are often used as workhorses, the Raptor's enthusiast status means it typically benefits from more attentive mechanical maintenance. The Blue exterior is a high-demand color in the local used market, offering better value retention than more niche shades.

SVT RAPTOR SUPER CAB BASE vs Lower Trims

The SVT Raptor trim is a radical departure from the standard F-150 XLT or Lariat, featuring a significantly wider track, specialized Fox Racing internal bypass shocks, and a high-output 3.5L EcoBoost engine not available on lower trims. It adds a dedicated Terrain Management System with a specific 'Baja Mode' for high-speed desert running and a reinforced high-strength steel frame. Inside, you get unique bolstered seating and auxiliary switchgear standard, features highly valued by GCC off-road enthusiasts.

F-150 vs Segment Rivals

In the performance truck segment, the F-150 Raptor leads rivals like the RAM 1500 Rebel and Toyota Tundra TRD Pro with its purpose-built off-road suspension and superior wheel travel. Its 136-litre fuel tank provides a massive range advantage for long desert expeditions and highway drives between Saudi Arabia and the UAE. The Raptor's specialized Baja-tested hardware and wide-body styling give it a presence and capability that most road-biased competitors cannot match.

Running Costs & Resale

The 3.5L EcoBoost engine is designed for high-octane petrol, with real-world fuel consumption averaging around 14.7 L/100km, though this can increase significantly during off-road use. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it benefits from a widespread authorized service network across the UAE and neighboring countries, ensuring easier access to specialized parts. The Raptor holds its value exceptionally well compared to standard pickups, typically depreciating at a slower rate due to its status as a specialized performance icon in the GCC.

Performance & Capability

This Raptor delivers an impressive 415 hp and 678 Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h sprint in approximately 6.5 seconds—a remarkable figure for a vehicle of its size. Its 10-speed automatic transmission is optimized for the region's diverse terrain, providing seamless power delivery whether overtaking on the E11 or climbing dunes. With specialized drive modes including Rock Crawl and Mud/Sand, the truck is factory-engineered to handle extreme GCC summer temperatures and challenging desert conditions.

Comfort & Cabin

The Super Cab configuration offers a 5-seat layout with rear-hinged doors, providing a balance of cabin utility and a manageable wheelbase for off-roading. The air conditioning system is specifically tuned for the GCC climate, offering powerful cooling even in temperatures exceeding 45°C. Front seats are heavily bolstered to keep passengers secure during off-road maneuvers, while the cabin insulation effectively blocks out road noise during long-distance highway commutes.

Safety

Standard safety features include Ford's AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control, which is particularly beneficial when navigating uneven sand surfaces or gravel tracks. The truck is equipped with a comprehensive airbag system and a 360-degree camera system that assists in both tight city parking and navigating technical off-road obstacles. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert provide essential support for the fast-moving multi-lane highway traffic typical of major GCC cities.

The bottom line

For the enthusiast looking for a genuine desert-ready icon, this GCC-spec Raptor provides the perfect balance of legendary capability and established regional reliability at a competitive market position.
