Summary

This 2022 Ford F-150 XLT Sport combines high-performance Raptor-grade power with the everyday practicality of a Crew Cab. With mileage at 62,150 km, it sits below the typical annual average for GCC-based pickups, representing a well-maintained example for the model year. The Blue exterior is a popular choice in the UAE, supporting stable resale value compared to niche colors. As a performance-oriented XLT Sport with the High-Output engine, it bridges the gap between a standard work truck and a high-spec luxury pickup. For the GCC buyer, this truck offers an ideal balance of highway overtaking power and towing readiness for weekend desert logistics.

This Car vs Other 2022 F-150s

With just over 62,000 km in two years, this F-150 has seen lighter use than the typical 25,000 km annual average found in the GCC. The blue finish is a strong resale color in the UAE market, generally holding value better than experimental shades. This specific unit features the High-Output engine configuration, providing a significant performance advantage over the more common 3.3L and standard 3.5L variants.

XLT CREW CAB SPORT PK vs Lower Trims

The XLT Sport Package replaces the chrome of the base XL and XLT with body-colored bumpers and a unique grille, providing a modern, athletic look. Inside, it adds power-locking doors, cruise control, and the critical Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) with Cross-Traffic Alert, which is essential for safely navigating Dubai's multi-lane highways. This trim also benefits from upgraded cloth bucket seats and a flow-through center console, moving away from the basic bench seats of the entry-level models.

F-150 vs Segment Rivals

The F-150 leads the Chevrolet Silverado and RAM 1500 in towing capacity, offering a class-leading 6,350 kg limit when properly equipped. Its aluminum-alloy body significantly reduces curb weight, resulting in more agile handling on paved roads and better power-to-weight performance in sandy terrain. The 3.5L EcoBoost engine delivers peak torque at lower RPMs than the naturally aspirated V8s in rivals, making it more responsive for highway overtaking.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 3.5L High-Output engine averages between 12-14 L/100km, depending on the mix of Dubai city traffic and long-distance highway driving. Ford maintains an extensive authorized service network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, ensuring parts are readily available. As an American spec vehicle, it offers high-end features at a competitive initial price, though buyers should note that resale values typically follow an 18% annual depreciation curve in the local market.

Performance & Capability

The 3.5L twin-turbo High-Output V6 produces a massive 450 hp and 691 Nm of torque, enabling rapid acceleration for a vehicle of this size. The 10-speed automatic transmission is optimized for both towing heavy loads and maintaining efficiency during high-speed cruises between Emirates. With selectable drive modes including Deep Snow/Sand and Trail, this all-wheel-drive pickup is as capable at a weekend campsite as it is on the commute.

Comfort & Cabin

The SuperCrew cab configuration provides genuinely usable legroom for five adults, making it a viable family vehicle for long road trips. The air conditioning system is robust, specifically designed to handle the rapid cooling requirements of the regional climate. Storage is plentiful with a flat rear load floor and a deep center console, while the SYNC 4 infotainment system offers seamless wireless connectivity for smartphones.

Safety

Standard safety features on this XLT trim include Ford's Co-Pilot360 suite, featuring Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking and Lane-Keeping System. The Blind Spot Information System is particularly useful in GCC traffic, accounting for the length of the truck and potential trailers. Additionally, the 360-degree camera assistance simplifies parking this large pickup in tight urban environments.

The bottom line

This F-150 is the perfect choice for a buyer who wants Raptor-level performance in a professional XLT package that is easier to live with daily. It is a standout opportunity for those seeking a low-mileage, high-output truck that is ready for both the office and the dunes.
