Summary

This 2017 Ford Mustang Premium offers the perfect balance of iconic American muscle styling and sensible daily usability for the GCC. While its turbocharged engine provides the punch needed for confident highway merging, it avoids the high fuel overhead typically associated with large-displacement V8s in stop-start traffic. The Premium trim ensures a high-quality interior experience, featuring leather surfaces and advanced cooling technologies essential for the region's climate. As a white coupe, it benefits from excellent heat reflection and holds a strong position in the local resale market. For a buyer seeking the Mustang silhouette with modern cabin comforts and manageable running costs, this is a highly practical choice.

This Car vs Other 2017 Mustangs

With 222,000 km, this vehicle has been a consistent highway performer, reflecting the higher-than-average annual mileage common for cross-emirate commuters in the UAE. The white exterior is the most sought-after color in the GCC used market due to its superior heat management and long-term paint durability. While the mileage is on the higher side, it indicates a car that has been regularly exercised on open roads rather than idling in city heat.

PREMIUM vs Lower Trims

The Premium trim is a significant upgrade over the base EcoBoost, specifically adding ventilated (cooled) leather seats and dual-zone automatic climate control—both critical for summer driving. It also introduces the SYNC 3 infotainment system with an 8-inch touchscreen and a 9-speaker premium audio system, offering a much more modern tech suite than the basic V6 or entry-level EcoBoost models. Aluminum pedal covers and ambient interior lighting further elevate the cabin's sport-luxe feel.

Mustang vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Dodge Challenger, the Mustang offers a more agile chassis and a more modern, tech-focused interior at this trim level. While the Chevrolet Camaro provides stiff competition, the Mustang's 2.3L EcoBoost engine delivers higher torque figures than many entry-level rivals, making it feel more responsive during highway overtaking. Additionally, the Mustang benefits from a larger specialized parts market and wider independent service support across the GCC.

Running Costs & Resale

The 2.3L EcoBoost averages approximately 9.5 L/100km, offering a substantial fuel saving over the V8 GT during daily city commutes. As an American spec vehicle, parts are widely available and affordable across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, though buyers should ensure local service centers are used for routine maintenance every 10,000 km. While American imports generally sit at a lower price point than GCC-spec cars, the Premium trim helps maintain a higher percentage of value at resale.

Performance & Capability

Delivering a verified 310 hp and 434 Nm of torque, this Mustang hits 100 km/h in approximately 5.5 seconds, providing plenty of power for the UAE’s fast-moving highway networks. The 6-speed automatic transmission is tuned for smooth cruising, and the selectable drive modes allow you to sharpen steering response for weekend drives. A top speed of 240 km/h ensures it remains composed and stable during long-distance trips between major cities.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for front-seat comfort, with the Premium trim’s heated and ventilated leather seats providing a significant advantage during the peak summer months. Dual-zone climate control allows driver and passenger to set independent cooling levels, while active noise cancellation helps maintain a quiet environment on the highway. Despite the sporty coupe silhouette, the 4-seat layout provides enough utility for occasional passengers or extra interior storage.

Safety

Standard safety features on this Premium trim include a comprehensive 8-airbag system, including driver and passenger knee airbags, alongside stability and traction control systems optimized for high-speed safety. The rearview camera and auto-dimming mirrors assist with visibility in busy urban environments, while the anti-lock braking system is paired with large rotors to ensure consistent stopping power in all weather conditions.

The bottom line

This Mustang is ideal for an enthusiast who wants the aggressive look of a modern muscle car with the interior luxuries and fuel efficiency needed for a high-mileage GCC lifestyle.
