Summary

This 9-year-old E300 AMG represents a sweet spot for the executive buyer, combining the aggressive aesthetic of the AMG Line with the high-efficiency 2.0L turbocharged powertrain. In the UAE market, white remains the strongest resale color, effectively reflecting the intense summer heat and ensuring long-term value retention. This specific model features the W213 generation's advanced digital cockpit and safety tech, which still feels modern compared to rivals from the same era. For a GCC buyer, this sedan offers a perfect balance between a prestigious office commute and reliable long-distance comfort for cross-emirate travel.

This Car vs Other 2017 E300s

With 110,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle has averaged approximately 12,200 km per year, which is significantly lower than the GCC average of 20,000 km. In a market where high-speed highway commuting is the norm, such below-average mileage suggests a well-preserved mechanical state. The white exterior is the most sought-after color in the region, providing a genuine advantage for future resale value.

AMG vs Lower Trims

The AMG Line adds a sharper, more aggressive body kit, 19-inch wheels, and a sport-tuned suspension that improves high-speed stability on GCC highways. Inside, you receive a flat-bottomed sport steering wheel and upgraded interior materials that elevate the cabin above the base Luxury trim. Crucially for this region, the AMG spec often includes the higher-tier Burmester surround sound system and enhanced ambient lighting standard.

E300 vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the BMW 5 Series and Audi A6, the E300 leads with a more futuristic interior design, headlined by its dual 12.3-inch screen layout. While rivals often rely on larger, thirstier engines, this Mercedes uses an advanced 9G-TRONIC transmission to deliver competitive acceleration with better fuel efficiency. The E-Class also offers a larger 540-litre boot, making it more practical for family weekend trips between Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption typically hovers around 6.3 to 7.5 L/100km, which is highly efficient for a mid-size luxury sedan in GCC traffic. Mercedes-Benz maintains one of the most comprehensive authorized service networks across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, ensuring parts are always readily available. The E-Class historically retains its value better than most European rivals, typically seeing a depreciation of 12-15% annually in the local market.

Performance & Capability

The 241 hp turbocharged engine provides effortless highway overtaking, reaching a top speed of 250 km/h where permitted. The 9-speed automatic transmission is geared for long-distance cruising, keeping RPMs low to reduce cabin noise and heat build-up during summer drives. Selectable drive modes allow you to switch from a comfort-oriented city drive to a sharper, more responsive setting for open highway stretches.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed to insulate passengers from the extreme GCC climate, featuring a powerful dual-zone climate control system and high-quality acoustic glass. The five-seat layout provides ample legroom for adults in the rear, making it a viable choice for executive transport or family use. Premium synthetic leather and open-pore wood trim ensure the interior remains durable even under intense sunlight exposure.

Safety

This E300 comes equipped with a comprehensive suite of safety tech, including Active Brake Assist and Attention Assist, which are vital for long desert highway journeys. The standard blind-spot monitoring is particularly useful in fast-moving multi-lane UAE traffic, while multiple airbags and a high-strength steel unibody provide a 5-star level of protection.

The bottom line

This GCC-spec E300 AMG is the ideal choice for a professional seeking a low-mileage executive sedan that balances prestige with sensible running costs. Its color, trim, and regional specification make it one of the most liquid assets in the UAE used car market today.
