Summary

This 2018 Mercedes-Benz E300 AMG presents a compelling opportunity for UAE buyers, combining very low mileage for its age with the highly desirable AMG Line aesthetic. While American regional specs typically attract a different value profile than local GCC models, the striking red exterior offers a unique alternative to the standard monochrome palette common in the region. The E-Class remains a segment leader for cabin refinement and highway stability, making it ideal for the daily commute between Emirates. With its efficient 2.0L turbocharged engine, it balances executive presence with manageable running costs in stop-start city traffic. This specific unit stands out for its well-preserved interior and modern tech suite that still feels current today.

This Car vs Other 2018 E300s

With just over 35,500 km on the odometer, this E300 has covered significantly less distance than the typical GCC average of 20,000 km per year, which would usually place a 2018 model near the 120,000 km mark. While red is a bolder choice than the high-resale white or silver, it adds a sporting character that complements the AMG styling. As an American spec vehicle, it provides a cost-effective entry point into the E-Class range compared to GCC-spec equivalents.

AMG vs Lower Trims

The AMG trim transforms the E300's profile with aggressive front and rear aprons, side sill panels, and larger 18-inch or 19-inch AMG-specific wheels. Inside, this trim adds a flat-bottomed sport steering wheel and brushed stainless steel pedals, features that are highly sought after by UAE buyers looking for a more dynamic feel. It also benefits from the lowered comfort suspension, providing a sharper look without sacrificing the ride quality needed for Dubai's highways.

E300 vs Segment Rivals

When compared to the BMW 530i and Audi A6, the E300 leads with its 'S-Class lite' interior design language and superior material quality. The Mercedes 9G-TRONIC transmission offers more ratios than the Audi's 7-speed, resulting in smoother shifts during high-speed cruising. For GCC buyers, the E-Class often commands better long-term brand prestige and a wider network of specialist independent garages compared to its European competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the E300 averages approximately 8.5 L/100km, performing efficiently on long stretches of Sheikh Zayed Road. Service intervals for Mercedes-Benz in the UAE are typically every 15,000 km, and the brand maintains an extensive authorized service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman. While American spec cars depreciate slightly faster than GCC models in the local market, their lower initial purchase price often offsets the difference for second-hand buyers.

Performance & Capability

The 2.0-liter turbocharged engine delivers 241 hp and a robust 370 Nm of torque available from just 1,300 rpm, ensuring effortless overtaking at highway speeds. The rear-wheel-drive configuration provides classic sedan handling and a tight turning circle, which is particularly useful in narrow urban parking structures. Five selectable drive modes via DYNAMIC SELECT allow the driver to prioritize fuel efficiency or sharper throttle response depending on the journey.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is defined by the massive 12.3-inch central display and high-quality ambient lighting that offers 64 colors to suit any evening drive. Dual-zone climate control is standard and engineered to handle extreme summer temperatures, with dedicated rear vents ensuring passenger comfort. The 541-liter boot space is generous for a luxury sedan, easily accommodating golf bags or large suitcases for weekend trips to Ras Al Khaimah.

Safety

Standard safety equipment includes PRE-SAFE predictive occupant protection and Active Brake Assist, which are vital for high-speed highway traffic. This trim also features LED High Performance headlamps for superior visibility during night drives on unlit desert roads. Attention Assist monitors driver fatigue, providing an extra layer of security for long-distance cross-border travel.

The bottom line

This is an excellent choice for a young professional or small family seeking the prestige of a modern Mercedes-Benz with exceptionally low mileage and sporty AMG styling at a competitive price point.
