Alfa Romeo Stelvio SUPER Q4 Super, Service History, GCC

Highlights

• 0–100 km/h in 7.2 seconds
• 215 km/h maximum top speed
• 525 litres boot space

Summary

This 2018 Stelvio represents a compelling entry into Italian performance SUVs, combining daily practicality with a chassis tuned for driving enthusiasts. At 8 years old with under 88,000 km, the mileage is significantly lower than the GCC average of 160,000 km for this age, suggesting a well-preserved mechanical life. The Red exterior is the definitive heritage color for Alfa Romeo, maintaining strong desirability and resale appeal in the local market. Compared to standard rivals, this Super trim offers a more driver-focused experience with standard all-wheel drive and a rapid steering rack that excels on both city commutes and long weekend drives across the Emirates. For a GCC buyer, the primary consideration is the balance of European driving dynamics with a regional specification built to handle high ambient temperatures.

This Car vs Other 2018 Stelvios

With only 87,771 km on the odometer, this vehicle has averaged approximately 11,000 km per year, which is less than half the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual usage seen in the GCC. This low-mileage status offers a distinct advantage in terms of component longevity and wear. The iconic Red paintwork further distinguishes it from the common white and silver models, typically fetching a premium among brand enthusiasts.

SUPER vs Lower Trims

The Super trim upgrades the ownership experience over the base model with enhanced interior materials and larger alloy wheels. In the GCC market, the addition of the 8.8-inch infotainment display and premium leather upholstery provides the upscale cabin environment that local buyers expect. It also features standard Bi-Xenon headlights and a power liftgate, offering superior convenience during evening drives and grocery trips.

Stelvio vs Segment Rivals

While the BMW X3 and Audi Q5 focus on clinical efficiency, the Stelvio leads the segment in steering precision and weight distribution, utilizing a carbon-fibre driveshaft usually reserved for supercars. Its 525-litre boot provides competitive family utility, and the Q4 all-wheel-drive system provides superior confidence during the occasional gravel track or sudden rainstorm on UAE highways.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages around 7.0 L/100km combined, though GCC city traffic will see this rise to roughly 8.9 L/100km. Service intervals are recommended every 15,000 km or 12 months, with authorized service centers well-established across the UAE and major Saudi Arabian cities. While European SUVs typically depreciate at 12–18% annually in this region, the Stelvio's lower mileage and popular color help maintain a stable resale position compared to high-mileage examples.

Performance & Capability

The 2.0-liter turbocharged engine delivers a verified 200 hp and 330 Nm of torque, allowing for a 0–100 km/h sprint in 7.2 seconds. This performance is managed through an 8-speed automatic gearbox that is highly responsive for overtaking on the E11 highway. The DNA drive mode selector allows you to sharpen the throttle response for spirited driving or optimize efficiency for long-distance cross-border journeys.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed around a five-seat layout with dual-zone climate control engineered to maintain comfort even during peak GCC summer heat. Standard leather seats provide excellent lateral support, while the acoustic glass helps insulate passengers from road noise during high-speed cruising. The 40/20/40 split-folding rear seats ensure versatility for carrying longer items without sacrificing passenger comfort.

Safety

This Stelvio comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including a 5-star Euro NCAP rating. Standard features include a rearview camera and front/rear parking sensors, which are essential for navigating tight parking spaces in Dubai or Abu Dhabi. It also features high-performance Brembo brakes and electronic stability control, providing a secure platform for both highway travel and light gravel weekend excursions.

The bottom line

For the enthusiast looking for a stylish Italian SUV that has seen significantly less use than the market average, this low-mileage Stelvio Super is an excellent choice. It offers a unique alternative to the German mainstream with a classic color profile that will always find a buyer in the UAE.
