Ford F-150 RAPTOR SUPER CAB

Highlights

• 2,721 kg maximum braked towing capacity
• 239 mm standard ground clearance
• Selectable terrain modes including Baja and Rock Crawl

Summary

This 2018 Ford F-150 Raptor Super Cab is a specialized off-road machine, distinguished by its shorter wheelbase which offers superior breakover angles compared to the standard four-door variants. Finished in Grey, a color that holds its value well in the GCC market due to its ability to hide desert dust, this listing sits at an average mileage for its age in the region. The Raptor remains the most sought-after performance truck in the UAE, known for its ability to handle high-speed dune bashing while maintaining highway refinement. For any GCC buyer, the standard Fox Racing Shox and reinforced chassis provide a level of durability that rivals simply cannot match. It represents a balanced entry point into the Raptor family, offering pure performance without the added weight of a larger cab.

This Car vs Other 2018 F-150s

With 148,000 km, this Raptor has been driven approximately 24,000 km per year, which is perfectly in line with the GCC average of 20,000–25,000 km for highway-heavy use. While standard F-150s of this year are often used as workhorses, the Raptor is typically owned by enthusiasts, ensuring it has been maintained for performance rather than just utility. The Grey exterior is a highly practical choice for the region, offering better resale prospects than niche colors by appealing to the widest range of used buyers.

RAPTOR SUPER CAB vs Lower Trims

The Raptor is a complete mechanical departure from lower trims like the XLT or Lariat, featuring a high-output 3.5L EcoBoost engine and a purpose-built long-travel suspension. It adds a widened track, heavy-duty skid plates, and the specialized Terrain Management System with six distinct modes. Inside, you get the Raptor-specific bolstered seats and magnesium paddle shifters that are absent on standard models, making the driving experience far more engaging for desert enthusiasts.

F-150 vs Segment Rivals

The F-150 Raptor leads rivals like the RAM 1500 Rebel and Chevrolet Silverado Trail Boss through its advanced 3.0-inch Fox Racing Shox, which provide vastly superior high-speed damping in deep sand. Its 10-speed automatic transmission offers tighter ratios for overtaking on fast-moving GCC highways, a distinct advantage over competitors with fewer gears. Additionally, the availability of a dedicated 'Baja Mode' specifically tunes the throttle and shifting for the desert terrain found across the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages around 14.7 L/100km, though this can increase significantly during technical desert driving or heavy city traffic in Dubai or Riyadh. Ford’s authorized service network, managed by Al Tayer in the UAE and Al Jazirah in KSA, is extensive, ensuring parts availability is never an issue. The Raptor holds its value exceptionally well in the GCC, typically depreciating at a slower rate than standard luxury SUVs due to its status as a performance icon. You can expect high retention of value if the suspension and turbo systems are serviced at regular 10,000 km intervals.

Performance & Capability

The high-output 3.5L engine produces 421 hp and a massive 678 Nm of torque, allowing this truck to reach 100 km/h in approximately 6.5 seconds. Its off-road capability is defined by 13 inches of front suspension travel and a 239 mm ground clearance, making it one of the few factory trucks capable of tackling major dunes without modification. For those looking to haul gear to the desert, it maintains a respectable 2,721 kg braked towing capacity and a 4WD system with a locking rear differential.

Comfort & Cabin

The Super Cab configuration features rear-hinged doors that open 180 degrees, providing easy access to the 5-seat cabin and secure interior storage for gear. The powerful dual-zone climate control is specifically engineered to combat 45°C+ summer temperatures, ensuring the cabin stays cool even under direct sun. Standard features include the Sync 3 infotainment system with a clear 8-inch display, while the well-insulated cabin provides a surprisingly quiet environment during long highway hauls between emirates.

Safety

Safety is managed by a suite of advanced systems including stability control with roll stability protection, which is vital for high-profile trucks on sandy surfaces. The Raptor trim includes six airbags as standard and features blind-spot monitoring to help navigate fast-moving multi-lane highway traffic. The reinforced high-strength steel frame and military-grade aluminum alloy body provide a robust safety cell for both off-road adventures and daily commuting.

The bottom line

This GCC-spec Raptor Super Cab is the ideal choice for the enthusiast who prioritizes off-road agility and desert performance over rear-seat legroom. It offers a mechanically sound entry into the Raptor lifestyle with a color and spec that ensures strong future resale value in the local market.
